Materials:
DROPS ESKIMO by Garnstudio
300 g for all sizes in color number 08, red.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES AND STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 6 mm - or size necessary to obtain 13 sts x 17 rows garter stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS DARK BUFFELHORN BUTTONS NUMBER 536: 6 pieces for all sizes. GARTER STITCH (back and forth on regular needles):
knit all rows in knit stitches. 1 stripe = 2 rows Knit.

RIB STITCH (in the round on double-pointed needles):
* knit 1 round in knit stitches and 1 round in purl stitches *, repeat from * to *. 1 stripe = 2 rounds.

SLIPPERS:
LEG:
Cast on 36-38-40 sts on double-pointed needles size 6 mm with Eskimo. Knit in RIB STITCH in the round - see explanation above - until the piece measures approximately 4 cm in length, finish after 1 round in Purl.

FOOT:
Now leave the first 9-11-11 sts on the round needle, place the remaining 27-27-29 sts on 1 extra needle. Continue in garter stitch back and forth over the 9-11-11 sts - AT THE SAME TIME on the 1st row cast on 1 new st at each side (edge st) = 11-13-13 sts. When the piece measures 7-8.5-10 cm in length, bind off 1 edge st at each side = 9-11-11 sts. Then place the sts from the extra needle back onto the needle and cast on 12-14-16 sts at each side of the center piece (inside 1 edge st) = 60-66-72 sts on the needle. Now measure the piece from here. Add 1 marker in the center of the toe section and 1 marker in the center of the back section at the heel. Continue in the round in garter stitch. When the piece measures 2 cm in length, knit 2 sts together at each side of each marker in every 2nd round ( = 4 sts less/round) continue decreasing until the piece measures 5-5-6 cm in length – bind off. Sew together the seam at the center under the foot in the last st to avoid a thick seam.


FREE LEG KNITTED ALONG:
Cast on 22 sts on needles size 6 mm with Eskimo. Knit 1 stripe in garter stitch, on the last row add 6 sts evenly = 28 sts. Knit according to A.1 ( = 28 sts) until the piece measures approximately 32-33-35 cm in length, on the last row decrease 3 sts over each braid in A.1 = 22 sts. Knit 1 stripe in garter stitch and bind off. Place the cast on edge over the bound off edge and sew 3 buttons for decoration through the leg. Pull the leg 2 cm down on the foot with the buttons on the outside of the slipper and sew the leg's cast on edge to the slipper on the wrong side with invisible stitches.

Knit another slipper in the same way, making sure that the leg openings are on the opposite side.
