Cast on 40 stitches 1st row knit, all purl, knit 2nd row, all purl, knit 3rd row, all knit, knit 4th row, all knit, knit 5th row, all purl, knit 6th row, all purl, repeat rows 1-6 until there are 8 such stripes

Next, we add the second color, here red 1st row: knit, slip, 5 white purls, 28 red knits, turn, 2nd row, knit, slip, 27 red purls, 5 white unravel to the row and place on the left needle together with the edge stitch, turn, 3rd row: knit, slip, all white purls, knit purl 4th row: knit, slip, all white knits, knit purl Repeat rows 1-4 until there are 9 red stripes

Knit 1 row of white knits. Divide the stitches into 2 equal parts, alternately slip the stitches onto one needle and then the other, sew the toe with 3 stitches as follows: 2 together, place the stitch back on the left needle, 3 together, place the stitch back on the left needle, 3 together, etc.
