Knitted slippers, description

Turquoise knitted slippers for size 38/39. These comfortable and very cozy slippers are knitted very quickly and easily, even a beginner can make them. Model by Ploshanskaya A. Knitted slippers description: Size 38/39. For knitting the slippers, take turquoise yarn ALIZE about 80g. (75% acrylic, 25% wool, 100g./170m.), 2 buttons and size 3 needles. Cast on 5 stitches and knit every row with knit stitches (garter stitch pattern). Knit 2 rows, and then starting from the 3rd row and onwards in each knit row, make increases. The increases are made as follows: selvedge stitch, crossed yarn over, knit stitches to the end of the row, crossed yarn over, selvedge stitch. Continue knitting until there are 27 stitches on the needle. Note: for size 38/39, there should be 27 stitches on the needle, for size 35/36 there should be 25 stitches. When there are 27 stitches on the needle, then "double" the stitches in the knit row as follows: selvedge, 1 knit stitch, *knit through the back loop without dropping the stitch, and then knit through the front loop*, thus "doubling" the stitches from * to * until the end of the row, at the end of the row, 1 knit stitch, selvedge. Next, knit in ribbing 2x2. Row 1: selvedge, 1 purl, *2 knit, 2 purl*, repeat from * to *, 1 purl, selvedge. Row 2 and subsequent rows are knitted according to the pattern. Thus, with the "ribbing" pattern 2x2, knit 16cm. After knitting 16cm, in the knit row make decreases as follows: selvedge, 1 knit, *2 purl together purlwise, 2 knit together knitwise*, repeat from * to *, 1 knit, selvedge. Then continue knitting in garter stitch (all rows knitted with knit stitches), making decreases in each knit row as follows: selvedge, 2 stitches together through the back loop, then knit to the end of the row with knit stitches, 2 stitches together knit through the front loop from left to right, selvedge. Decrease stitches until there are 5 stitches left on the needle. Then knit straight without decreases (5 stitches in the row) for a total of 8 rows (if the foot is wide or the instep is high, knit more rows, fitting the slipper to the foot). Then make a buttonhole as follows: selvedge, 1 knit, yarn over, 2 knit together, selvedge, then knit one more row with knit stitches and bind off. Fold the slipper in half and carefully sew the red and green lines together along the ribbing on both sides, then attach the button.
