Yarn for the item can be taken from the "Kroha" yarn of the Troitsk factory in three different colors.

You can also choose not to make the heels colorful. It's just easier to orient with the color.

We start knitting from the back seam on the heel side.

Color #1. Cast on 20 stitches and knit a rectangle in garter stitch (knit stitches in both the right and wrong rows) for 30 (right) rows, a total of 60.

Then we change the yarn color.

Row 61 (Color #2) - knit 20 knit stitches.
Row 62 (Color #2) - knit 20 knit stitches.

Change the yarn color.

Row 63 (Color #1) - knit 18 knit stitches and turn the work without knitting the last two stitches of the row.
Row 64 (Color #1) - 18 knit stitches.

Change the yarn color.

Row 65 (Color #3) - knit 16 knit stitches and turn the work without knitting the last four stitches of the row.
Row 66 (Color #3) - 16 knit stitches.

Change the yarn color.

Row 67 (Color #1) - knit 14 knit stitches and turn the work without knitting the last six stitches of the row.
Row 68 (Color #1) - 14 knit stitches.

Continue knitting in a similar manner, changing the yarn color every two rows and knitting each odd row two stitches shorter than the previous one.

For the edge stitches at the beginning of even short rows, do not knit them.
And at the beginning of even rows, knit them as knit stitches.

Continue knitting until there are 4 stitches of color #1 left on the needle.

Then, color #2 - knit all 20 stitches from the needle as knit stitches (2 rows)

color #3 - knit all 20 stitches from the needle as knit stitches (4 rows)

color #2 - knit all 20 stitches from the needle as knit stitches (2 rows)

Now we do the same short rows, but in reverse order:

color #1 - 4 knit stitches (2 rows)

color #3 - 6 knit stitches (2 rows)

color #1 - 8 knit stitches (2 rows)

color #2 - 10 knit stitches (2 rows)

color #1 - 12 knit stitches...

and so on until all 20 stitches of color #2 are knitted from the needle.

It remains to knit a straight piece on 20 stitches of color #1 and sew the heel.

You can use a needle, or you can connect the edges with a hook using slip stitches at the outer half stitches.

The top of the item is also crocheted
with single crochet stitches and a similar technique to picot.
