Pattern with crossed stitches:

Row 1 – 19 knit stitches.
Row 2 – 8 purl stitches, 3 knit stitches, 8 purl stitches.
Repeat rows 1-2 until row 11.
Row 11 – 7 knit stitches, 1 stitch slip without knitting, yarn at back, 3 knit stitches, 1 stitch slip without knitting, yarn at back, 7 knit stitches,
Row 12 – 7 knit stitches, 1 stitch slip without knitting, yarn in front, 3 knit stitches, 1 stitch slip without knitting, yarn in front, 7 knit stitches.
Row 13 – 7 knit stitches, 1 stitch slip in front, then knit the 4th stitch (= slipped knit stitch) before 3 purl stitches, knit 3 purl stitches, then knit the 1st slipped stitch (step-by-step execution of the crossed stitches below), 7 knit stitches.
Row 14 – 7 knit, 1 slip without knitting, yarn in front, 3 knit, 1 slip without knitting, yarn in front, 7 knit,
Repeat from rows 1 to 14.
