You can choose the necessary size of the top according to the data in table 1.
Necessary skills: knitting of knit and purl stitches; knitting in the round and flat rows; decreasing stitches.
Yarn: Any blended yarn, silk yarn, etc., with parameters of 100g/240-260m.
Yarn consumption: for sizes XS - 250g, for sizes S and M - 300g, for sizes L and XL - 350g.
Materials:
- circular needles #3.5 (length 40cm) for finishing;
- circular needles #4 (length 80-100cm) for knitting the main fabric;
- markers – 6pcs;
- tapestry needle (for shoulder seams);
- measuring tape or ruler;
- scissors.
Knitting density:
The knitting density of stockinette stitch in the round, needle #4:
10cm – 21sts. 10cm - 28rows;
Knit a sample, wash it, and determine your knitting density.
To obtain the specified size in the description, your density must match the density in the description. If you do not match my density, use needles that are 0.5-1 size larger or smaller.
Be careful, as the density may change when knitting in the round, please monitor the density parameters during the knitting process.
Construction. The product is knitted in one piece, without seams, from bottom to top. First, the body is knitted in the round, then divided into the front and back and knitted separately in flat rows, then shoulder seams and finishing are done.
Abbreviations:
K - Knit stitch;
P - Purl stitch;
M1 - marker for the start of the row;
M1 and M4 - side markers;
M2, M3, M5, M6 - pattern markers;
L1 - increase left of the marker;
R1 – increase right of the marker.
Patterns: Stockinette stitch: in flat knitting in knit rows - knit stitches, in purl rows - purl stitches. In circular knitting – all stitches knit.
Central pattern of the front and back: The pattern repeat width - 27 stitches. The pattern repeat height - 52 rows.
In circular knitting, all knit rows are knitted exactly according to the pattern.
When knitting flat rows (knit-purl), the stitches in the purl (even) rows of the pattern are knitted in reverse. If the pattern indicates a knit stitch, then we knit it as a purl and vice versa.
When knitting in the round, yarn over in even rows is knitted as a knit stitch.
When knitting flat rows, yarn over in even rows is knitted as a purl stitch.
Legend:
1.- - purl stitch
2. I - knit stitch
3. 0- yarn over
4. 2 stitches together knitwise with a right slant
5. 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant
When knitting in the round, stitches are knitted exactly according to the pattern, the direction of knitting is from right to left.
When knitting flat rows (knit-purl), the stitches in the purl (even) rows of the pattern are knitted in reverse. If the pattern indicates a knit stitch, then we knit it as a purl and vice versa.
The direction of knitting in knit (odd) rows is from right to left, in purl (even) rows - from left to right.

Row 52: 3p., 2k., 2p., 2k., 3p., 3k., 3p., 2k., 2p., 2k., 3p.
Let's start knitting the top.
Body. On circular needles #4, cast on 178/194/214/230/250 stitches + 1 stitch to join in the round. This number of stitches corresponds to sizes XS/S/M/L/XL.
Join knitting in the round (make sure the cast-on row is not twisted).
Turn the work with the purl side of the cast-on row facing you, so that the edge of the cast-on row from which the working yarn is coming is on the left. Transfer the last stitch from the right needle to the left, then pull the last stitch from the left needle through the slipped stitch. We have 1 stitch from 2. Return it back to the right needle. Mark the beginning of the round with a marker.
On the needles, there are 178/194/214/230/250 stitches corresponding to sizes XS/S/M/L/XL. Next, knit 2 rounds in garter stitch:
Row 1: all stitches knit;
Row 2: all stitches purl.
Knit the next round and place markers as follows:
M1; 31/35/40/44/49 k; M2; 27k.; M3; 31/35/40/44/49 k; M4; 31/35/40/44/49 k; M5; 27k.; M6; 31/35/40/44/49 k.
Next, knit according to the pattern: stockinette stitch/pattern/stockinette stitch/stockinette stitch/pattern/stockinette stitch.
Repeat the pattern from rows 1 to 52.
After 6/6/6/6/8cm from the cast-on edge, you need to make decreases. Decrease 1 stitch from each side of markers M1 and M4. Decrease for sizes XS/S/M/L/XL.
1st row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 28/32/37/41/46 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 28/32/37/41/46 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 28/32/37/41/46 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 28/32/37/41/46 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
Next, knit according to the pattern, repeating the round with decreases every 6cm a total of 5 more times (for a total of 6 times), until the height of the product reaches 38/39/40/41/42cm from the cast-on edge.
2nd row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 28/32/37/41/46 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 28/32/37/41/46 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 28/32/37/41/46 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 28/32/37/41/46 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
3rd row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 26/30/35/39/44 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 26/30/35/39/44 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 26/30/35/39/44 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 26/30/35/39/44 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
4th row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 25/29/34/38/43 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 25/29/34/38/43 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 25/29/34/38/43 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 25/29/34/38/43 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
5th row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 24/28/33/37/42 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 24/28/33/37/42 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 24/28/33/37/42 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 24/28/33/37/42 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
6th row with decreases:
M1; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 23/27/32/36/41 k; M2; 27p. pattern; M3; 23/27/32/36/41 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.; M4; 1k., 2sts together knitwise with a right slant, 23/27/32/36/41 k; M5; 27p. pattern; M6; 23/27/32/36/41 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant, 1k.
On the needles, there are 154/170/190/206/226 stitches.
We proceed to knit the last round, in which we close for the armholes 3/3/4/6/7 stitches from each side of markers M1 and M4.
IMPORTANT.
1. The row of lace pattern in this round may be odd according to the pattern, i.e. knit.
2. After closing the stitches for the armholes, be sure to count the number of stockinette stitches from both sides of the lace pattern. The number of stitches must be equal.
So, we remove from needle M1 and transfer 3/3/4/6/7 stitches from the right needle to the left, unraveling them. Put M1 back on the needle, this is now our beginning of the row.
Then knit as follows:
close 6/6/8/12/14p; 22/26/30/32/36 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 27p. pattern; 22/26/30/32/36 k; close 6/6/8/12/14p; 22/26/30/32/36 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 27p. pattern; 22/26/30/32/36 k.
In total, in this round, we closed for both armholes 12/12/16/24/28 stitches according to the sizes.
On the needles, there are 142/158/174/182/198 stitches.
M1 and M4 can be removed as we no longer need them.
Next, we will knit the front and back separately.
Back. On the needles, there are 71/79/87/91/99 stitches.
We will knit flat rows. In the knit and purl row, we do not knit the first stitch, and we knit the last stitch purl. These will be the edge stitches.
e.s. - edge stitch.
Important! When knitting flat rows (knit-purl), the stitches in the purl (even) rows of the pattern are knitted in reverse. If the pattern indicates a knit stitch, then we knit it as a purl and vice versa.
When knitting flat rows, yarn over in even rows is knitted as a purl stitch.
Turn the work and knit the purl row of the back:
1e.s.; 21/25/29/31/35 p.; 27p. pattern; 21/25/29/31/35 p.; 1e.s.
Proceed to knit the next knit row. In this first knit row, decrease by 1 stitch from each side at the armholes.
1e.s.; 2sts together knitwise with a right slant; 19/23/27/29/33 k; 27p. pattern; 19/23/27/29/33 k; 2sts together knitwise with a left slant; 1e.s.
Next, knit the purl row.
Repeat the decrease row for sizes XS/S/M/L/XL every 4th row for another 1/1/4/5/8 times (a total of 2/2/5/6/9 times).
In total, we decreased 4/4/10/12/18 stitches for both armholes, according to the sizes.
On the needles, there are 67/75/77/79/81 stitches.
After making the necessary decreases, continue to knit the back until the height of the product reaches 51/53/55/57/59cm from the cast-on edge. Finish with a purl row.
In the next knit row, close the central 33/35/35/37/37 stitches for the neckline.
Knit as follows:
1e.s; 16/19/20/20/21 k; close 33/35/35/37/37 p.; 16/19/20/20/21 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 1e.s.
Next, we will knit both parts of the back separately.
Left part of the back.
Knit the purl row: 1e.s.; 15/18/19/19/20 p.; 1e.s.
In the next knit row, close 1 stitch from the neckline side: close 1p.; 15/18/19/19/20 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 1e.s.
Then knit the purl row: 1e.s.; 14/17/18/18/19 p.; 1e.s.
In the next knit row, close another stitch from the neckline side: close 1p.; 14/17/18/18/19 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 1e.s.
On the needles, there are 15/18/19/19/20 stitches.
Next, continue knitting without closing. After 54/56/58/60/62cm from the cast-on edge, transfer the stitches of the left part of the back to a spare yarn and set aside for now.)
Right part of the back.
Attach the yarn to the right part of the back and start knitting the purl row: 16/19/20/20/21 p.; 1e.s.
In the next knit row, close 1 stitch from the neckline side: 1e.s.; 14/17/18/18/19 k; close 1p.
Then knit the purl row: 1e.s.; 14/17/18/18/19 p.; 1e.s.
In the next knit row, close another stitch from the neckline side: 1e.s.; 13/16/17/17/18 k; close 1p.
On the needles, there are 15/18/19/19/20 stitches.
Next, continue knitting without closing. After 54/56/58/60/62cm from the cast-on edge, transfer the stitches of the right part of the back to a spare yarn and set aside for now).
The back is ready!
Front (bodice).
On the needles, there are 71/79/87/91/99 stitches.
Attach the yarn and knit the purl row.
The front piece is knitted like the back until closing the neckline stitches to a height of 48/50/52/54/56cm from the cast-on edge. Finish with a purl row.
On the needles, there are 67/75/77/79/81 stitches.
In the next knit row, close the central 23/25/25/23/23 stitches for the neckline.
Knit as follows: 1e.s.; 21/24/25/27/28 k; close 23/25/25/23/23 p.; 21/24/25/27/28 k.
(the first stitch has already been knitted); 1e.s.
Next, knit both parts of the front separately.
Left part of the front.
On the needles, there are 22/25/26/28/29 stitches.
Knit the purl row:
1e.s.; 20/23/24/26/27 p.; 1e.s.
In the next knit row, close 2 stitches from the neckline side: close 2p.; 19/22/23/25/26 k. (the first stitch has already been knitted); 1e.s.
Then knit the purl row: 1e.s.; 18/21/22/24/25 p.; 1e.s.

Rinse the top in water at the same temperature as during washing.
Carefully squeeze it without wringing, wrap it in a terry towel, and leave it for a while so that the towel absorbs the moisture.
Dry on a horizontal surface (on a dry towel), previously smoothing and shaping it as needed.
