Lace top with V-neckline

Lace top with V-neckline - Lilia Vignan

Sizes: 34/36 (40/42) 46/48

You will need: yarn (67% cotton, 33% viscose; 158 m/50 g) — 200 (250) 300 g light pink; needles No. 3; circular needles No. 3.

Lace pattern (number of stitches multiple of 20 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) = knit according to the chart. All rows are given on it. In the right side rows, start with the stitches before the right arrow, continuously repeat the 20 st. rapport between the arrows, finish with the stitch after the left arrow; in the wrong side rows, knit the opposite.
Work rows 1-34 once, then continuously repeat rows 3-34.
When making decreases, ensure that the number of yarn overs and knit two together stitches within the row consistently matches.

Gauge: lace pattern - 25 st. x 32.5 rows = 10×10 cm.

Pattern chart:

9. knit 2 stitches together purlwise

10. knit 2 stitches together twisted purlwise

11. slip 1 knitwise, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over knit 1 stitch with a double left-leaning decrease (slip 2 stitches together as knit, knit 1, then pull it through the slipped stitches)

Work description:

Back: cast on 103 (123) 143 st. and knit 1 wrong side row. This row is not counted in subsequent calculations.

Continue working in lace pattern.

After 34.5 cm = 112 rows from the starting row, bind off 1 x 5 st. on both sides for armholes and in every 2nd row 1 x 4 st., 1 x 3 st., 1 x 2 st. and 1 x 1 st. = 73 (93) 103 st.

After 53.5 cm = 174 rows (55.5 cm = 180 rows) 57.5 cm = 186 rows from the starting row, bind off 1 x 7 (12) 17 st. on both sides for shoulder slopes and in the next 2nd row 1 x 7 (12) 17 st.

At the same time as starting to knit the shoulder slopes, bind off the middle 41 st. for the neckline and finish both sides separately.

To round the neckline, bind off 1 x 2 st. on the next 2nd row at the inner edge.

Front: knit as for the back, but for the V-neckline, already after 41 cm = 134 rows (43 cm = 140 rows) 45 cm = 146 rows from the starting row, bind off the middle stitch and finish both sides separately.

For the neckline slope, bind off 1 st. in every 2nd row 22 times.

Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. For the hollow cord edging, cast on 128 st. along the neckline edge with circular needles and add 3 more st. = 131 st. Place these 3 st. on the left needle and knit as follows: * 2 knit stitches, 2 st. knit together with a left-leaning decrease (= slip 1 as knit, knit 1, then pull it through the slipped stitch), do not turn the work, return these 3 st. to the left needle, from * repeat until there are only 3 st. left.

Bind off the remaining 3 st. Sew the ends of the edging together. Perform the side seams.

Cast on 120 (128) 136 st. along the edges of the armholes with circular needles, then cast on 3 new st. and also bind off the stitches using the hollow cord edging.
