Crocheting Stylish Skirts.

You will need: 800 g of yarn of type «Iris» in 2 shades of yellow, mustard, and brown; hook No. 1.5-2; wide elastic band for the waistband.

The skirt is made of «maple leaf» motifs based on a basic scheme 16 using appliqué and connecting lace. The top of the product is formed from black leaves. The bottom, however, represents a denser, diverse, and colorful canvas, where individual motifs overlap each other in a chaotic manner, imitating the foliage on the ground during the fall. The sequence of executing the motif is as follows: close a chain of 8 ch with a slip stitch and crochet rounds 1 and 2. Then, crochet the base of the leaf from ten parts in turning rows, decreasing by 1 petal in each row (see diagram).

To obtain leaves of different sizes, crochet fewer rows. Place the crocheted motifs on a pattern made to scale with the right side up (see pattern) to create a composition. Place the leaves edge to edge at the top, and partially overlapping at the bottom. Fix the most acceptable position with basting. Sew the basted edges of the leaves with threads matching the motifs. For the waistband, crochet 8 cm of S1N along the top edge of the skirt. Then fold the fabric to the wrong side and sew it. Thread the elastic band through the waistband.
