CROCHETED SUMMER TOP MINNIE ROSE

This crocheted summer top from the American brand Minnie Rose. The brand is quite well-known in America, famous for its cashmere products, and regularly presents interesting crocheted clothing designs. The originality of the top is immediately appealing. Most of the familiar crocheted summer tops we know have thin straps, with a bodice that mimics the shape of a swimsuit, and a lacy lower part. This is, so to speak, the classic model of a summer crocheted top. Here, however, a slightly different silhouette is initially taken as the basis. This top is knitted according to a pattern that must be made in advance based on one’s own figure, and it resembles sewn models more in silhouette. This is where the main difficulty of knitting lies, because the top, although knitted in the round, requires adherence to all the contours of the pattern throughout the process, constantly applying the product to the pattern.



The characteristic relief of the pattern in the presented summer crocheted top is achieved by using the so-called relief double crochet stitch, which is worked not into the top of the stitches of the previous row, but under the "body" (a more detailed description is in the attached diagram). During the knitting process, the main lacy pattern is combined with double crochet stitches, which make up the sleeves of the top and the side yokes.
