Dimensions:

Finished measurements:

Bust: 80–88–96–106–118–130 cm (31½"–34⅝"–37¾"–41¾"–46½"–51¼")
-
Full length: 37–39–41–43–45–47 cm (14½"–15¼"–16⅛"–17"–17¾"–18½")
Note: All measurements in the tables are given in centimeters.
PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 – A.7.
The diagrams are read from left to right on the wrong side.
CHAIN STITCH:
If you crochet too tightly, chain stitches can be short.
One chain stitch should be as long as the height of one single crochet / half double crochet / double crochet.
CROCHET INFORMATION:
-
At the beginning of each row of single crochets, replace the first stitch with 1 chain. The row ends with a slip stitch into this chain.
-
At the beginning of the row of half double crochets, replace the first half double crochet with 2 chain stitches. The row ends with a slip stitch into the 2nd chain of the beginning of the row.
-
At the beginning of the row of double crochets, replace the first double crochet with 3 chain stitches. The row ends with a slip stitch into the 3rd chain of the beginning of the row.
TIPS ON INCREASES (EVENLY DISTRIBUTED):
To evenly distribute increases, count the total number of stitches in the row (for example, 131 stitches) and divide by the number of increases (for example, 6) = 21.8. In that case, increase by crocheting 2 double crochets roughly every 22nd stitch.
START OF WORK:
TOP - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE GARMENT:
First, motifs (squares) are crocheted, then they are sewn together into a strip/ring.
Next, work continues around the upper edge of the ring.
To preserve the pattern texture, rows are worked alternately on the right and wrong sides.
Finally, along the lower edge, a border is worked.
SQUARES:
Crochet hook 4 mm (US 6) and yarn DROPS Muskat.
Crochet in rounds following chart A.1.
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
Crochet 12-14-15-17-19-21 squares (depending on size).
SEWING TOGETHER THE SQUARES:
Make sure all squares lie with the right side up.
Sew them into a strip, joining one stitch in each stitch.
The length of the strip corresponds to the circumference of the lower edge of the top:
approximately 72–84–90–102–114–126 cm (28⅜"–33"–35½"–40"–45"–49½").
Join the first and last square to form a ring.
Then crochet around the top edge of this ring.
TOP PART:
Start on the right side, make 1 slip stitch in the seam between two squares (this is the start of the round).
See the CROCHET INFORMATION section.
Crochet 131–151–161–183–205–227 dc along the upper edge of the ring, distributing stitches as:
10 dc on each square and 1 dc in each seam (i.e., per square:
2 dc around the corner space, 3 dc around the next two arches of chain spaces, 2 dc around the corner space).
To match the total number of stitches, decrease 1 stitch evenly over 1–3–4–4–4–4 squares.
Then crochet following the pattern chart (PATTERN) on the right side:
A.2A in the first stitch, then A.2B to the end of the row.
After the second row, turn and crochet the next row from the wrong side.
When A.2 is finished in height, continue:
A.3A in the first stitch, then A.3B to the end of the row.
Continue the pattern, alternating rows of sc (RS) and dc (WS).
Watch your gauge!
SIMULTANEOUSLY: in the second row of double crochets according to chart A.3, increase
6–4–6–4–4–4 stitches evenly (see the advice on increases).
Work 5 rows without increases, then increase again
6–4–6–4–4–4 stitches = 143–159–173–191–213–235 stitches.
Continue A.3 without increases until the height 19–20–21–22–23–24 cm (including the square row),
finish with a row of single crochet stitches on the front side. Cut the yarn and fasten off.
BOTTOM EDGING:
Begin between the same two squares as before.
On the right side, work 1 slip stitch.
Crochet 131–151–161–183–205–227 single crochets, distributing the stitches as for the top edge.
Next row: A.4A into the first stitch, then A.4B to the end of the row.
All rows to be worked on the right side, until the chart A.4 is completed in height.
Without cutting the yarn, work the lace (cord) edging.
LACY EDGING:
A.5A into the first stitch, then A.5B to the end of the row,
ensure that there are an even number of arches from chain stitches.
Finish according to the chart A.5, cut the yarn and fasten off.
STRAPS:
The straps are worked in turning rows with single and with double crochets,
then an airy edging is worked on both sides.
Hook size 4 mm (US 6), yarn DROPS Muskat.
Cast on 47–51–53–57–61–67 in.п.
(the row should be about 26–28–29–32–34–37 cm).
Turn and crochet:
A.6A over the first stitch, then A.6B to the last 2 stitches,
at the end A.6C over these two.
Continue the pattern according to chart A.6 until the required height is reached.
For a wider strap, you can repeat the last 2 rows of pattern A.6,
finishing with a row of single crochets on the front side.
Then edge both sides of the strap with a lace edging :
Start from the wrong side from the first stitch of the row,
work A.7C over the first 1.5 cm,
then A.7B to the last 3 cm, finish with A.7A.
Turn, complete the last row on the right side.
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
The second side of the strap can be edged similarly.
Crochet the second strap in the same way.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew the straps to the front and back parts of the garment, leaving a distance between them of 18–19–20–22–24–26 cm
(7"–7½"–8"–8¾"–9½"–10¼") between the front and back.
