Crochet Napkin: Swans.
To crochet such a napkin, we will need 50 grams of white yarn, much black and red embroidery thread for decoration, and a hook size 1.2.
First, we crochet the center of the napkin according to the pattern with a flower motif, starting with five chain stitches, joined in a ring, cut the yarn and hide the end. The pattern of the swan napkin:
Legend for the pattern:
— we crochet a single crochet stitch
— we crochet a double crochet stitch
— we crochet a double crochet stitch
The numbers in the pattern indicate the number of chain stitches in the arches. The picot in the last round is crocheted from five chain stitches.
We crochet five swans with single crochet stitches, attaching them to the back part of the chain. First, we crochet the lower part of the swans, in the shape of a convex leaf. We chain eighteen stitches, make one chain stitch for rising and crochet single crochet stitches into each chain stitch of the chain. When we reach the end of the chain, we crochet two more single crochet stitches into the last stitch for turning and crochet a second row, attaching it to the remaining part of the initial chain stitch. Then we crochet according to the pattern, attaching the stitches to the back of the stitches. After completing all the rows of the lower part of the swan, we crochet around the leaf in a circle with one round according to the pattern, not forgetting to attach it to our first flower motif.
Thus, we crochet five lower parts of the swans, and during the last round of border, we attach them evenly spaced around the central part of the napkin from the flower motif. After that, we crochet according to the pattern: we crochet four rounds of arches made of chain stitches, and during the process, we attach to the central part of the napkin, and in the last, fourth round, we connect the swans together. The picot in the fourth row is crocheted from five chain stitches.
We attach wings to the bases of the swans according to the pattern:
We crochet the necks of the swans: for this, we crochet a chain of eighteen chain stitches, then we crochet six rows of single crochet stitches, secure and cut the yarn, leaving a long end of the working yarn. We thread this end into a needle and sew our work into a tube seam through the edge, capturing the stitches of the last row and the initial chain. We make the seam tight, slightly pulling it so that the neck of the swan bends. We secure the seam and sew the neck to the already crocheted base - the lower part of the swan.
Beak. We crochet the top of the neck with single crochet stitches using red embroidery thread in a circle for 4-5 rows, decreasing one single crochet stitch in each row. The remaining stitches are gathered with a piece of the working yarn. With black embroidery thread and a needle, we make two stitches to represent the eyes of the swan.
Thus, we crochet the necks for all five swans. After this, we starch the napkin, giving a curved shape to the necks and wings of the swans.
