So, you will need:
-yarn, I have both PELICAN (Vita Cotton). Composition: 100% double mercerized cotton. Length of the thread 330 m. Weight of the skein 50 g. and COCO (Vita Cotton). Composition: 100% mercerized cotton. Length of the thread 240 m. Weight of the skein 50 g.
-hook, I have No. 1.7
-wire - thinner for easy bending, and thicker for the stem, it should not bend under the weight of the rose.
- green floral tape
- glue, I used Moment, universal gel
- synthetic padding, a small amount
- beads or half beads, for dew drops
- a vessel where your rose will live, I have a small glass vase and decorative stones.
Here are the diagrams
We crochet three petals according to diagram No. 1. The initial circle of chain stitches should be made as small as possible, so the hole is almost invisible. We hide the starting thread, leaving a longer piece at the end to sew the rose later.
According to diagram No. 2, we also crochet three petals, using the same principle.
According to diagram No. 4, we crochet 4 petals.
According to diagram No. 5, we crochet 5 petals.
According to diagram No. 3, we crochet a bud, to which we will attach the petals. Here, the initial ring of chain stitches should be larger so that there is a hole left for inserting the wire stem later. The bud should be tightly stuffed with synthetic padding.
Now we will sew the petals onto the bud. Remember that the hole for the stem should be at the bottom. We will sew in layers, according to the number of petals of different sizes - that is, there will be four layers. They should be sewn like this. First, sew half of one petal, then half of the second petal, then the second half of the first petal onto the second petal. And so around all three petals. It should look like this.
We sew the remaining petals following the same principle. Just first try them on to see that the petals lay nicely. In the end, it should look like this.
Now for the stems and leaves. Cut the thin wire into pieces: two smaller and one larger. We crochet leaves of a suitable shape. There are many diagrams of different leaves on the internet, choose what you like, I won't focus on that here. You need two larger leaves and four smaller ones. The two smaller pieces of wire are wrapped with floral tape. Then we start wrapping the larger one, and in the process, we attach the small stems crosswise to the large one several times, as shown in the photo.
Then we glue the leaves to the stems. Take the thick wire for the main stem and also wrap it with floral tape, while attaching the branch with leaves in the same crosswise manner. I crocheted the calyx without a diagram, a round shape with single crochet, up to 30 stitches, then each leaf separately - at the base 6 stitches, decreasing by 1 stitch every third row. Be sure to leave a hole in the middle for the stem. Then we put the calyx on the stem, generously apply glue to the end of the stem and push it into the rose, trying to push it in as far as possible. We bring the calyx close to the rose and glue it.
We place the rose in the vase. We give the branches with leaves a beautiful shape. We glue the beads to imitate dew drops and admire it.
I also crocheted a white rose.
And a yellow one.
