Recently, I have become interested in various ways to keep my feet warm, specifically - knitting socks, slippers, and booties.
In this article, I will tell you how to crochet slippers.
So, you need to take:
-- yarn in 2 colors, in my case - yellow and orange,
-- a hook size 2.5
Process description:
First, we crochet the sole. I needed it to be approximately 25 cm long and 7 cm wide. For this, I crocheted a chain of air stitches about 18 cm long. Then I started to crochet with single crochets to make the sole dense and stable. On the top and bottom (meaning the toe and heel), I crocheted two stitches from one stitch in several places to round it off. Upon reaching a width of 7 cm, I closed the stitch and cut the yarn.
Now we crochet the front part of the slipper. The pattern consists of puff stitches. For this, I crocheted a chain of 17 air stitches. In the first row, I crochet 2 double crochets into each air stitch and finish them with one stitch (that is, yarn over, pull through the stitch, crochet the yarn over and the pulled stitch together, yarn over again, pull through the stitch again, crochet the pulled stitch and yarn over together, and then crochet the 3 stitches on the hook together). In the next row - with the yarn of another color, and we crochet the stitches between the stitches of the previous row to create a "checkerboard" pattern. To ensure that the rows do not narrow - at the start of the row, we crochet 3 air stitches for elevation, and at the end - 1 double crochet. There should be 10 rows, that is, 5 of one color and 5 of another. Then we taper at the edges, meaning in each row at the beginning and end we do not crochet the elevation stitches and the final double crochet, but immediately crochet the puff stitches between the stitches of the previous row. At the desired height, when there are about 8 or 9 double crochets left, I closed the work and cut the yarn.
Round edging of the slipper is done as follows. We evenly crochet with double crochets around 3 sides of the front part, then crochet a chain of air stitches (you need to try it on your foot to determine the required length), connect it with the start of the edging of the front part and continue crocheting in a circle for several rows (I crocheted 3 rows and also 3 rows at the bottom only around the heel to make it higher).

Assembly of the parts. You can attach the upper part and the sole with a hook as I did, or you can sew them with thread and needle, it’s a matter of taste.
