Size: 38
Materials:130g of yarn, hook 3.5mm, hook 4.0mm, needle.
Note: do not count the first two stitches as the first column.
 Description

     Base:
Row 1: take a 3.5mm hook and make a circle of 5 chain stitches, crochet 9 double crochets, pull the thread tight, crochet a slip stitch.
Row 2: chain 2, crochet 2 double crochets, secure with a slip stitch (you will have 18 stitches).
Row 3: chain 2, 1 double crochet in the first stitch, 2 double crochets in the second stitch, continue this to the end of the row, then secure with a slip stitch (you will have 24 stitches).
Row 4: chain 2, skip the first stitch, crochet 1 double crochet in the second stitch, then crochet 1 double crochet in each stitch, continue this to the end of the row, secure with a slip stitch (you will have 31 stitches).

Rows 5-13: chain 2, 1 double crochet in each stitch, slip stitch.
Row 14

chain 2, skip the first stitch, 1 double crochet in the second stitch, 1 double crochet in each stitch, crochet to the last eight stitches, then crochet 2 double crochets together. Turn the work (you will have 23 stitches). Do not crochet 6 stitches.
Rows 15-19: chain 2, crochet one double crochet in each stitch.
Rows 20-21: chain 2, crochet 1 double crochet in the next 10 stitches, crochet 1 half double crochet in the eleventh stitch, crochet 1 single crochet in the twelfth stitch, crochet 1 half double crochet in the thirteenth stitch, crochet 1 double crochet in the next 10 stitches.

At the end of the base, leave a long thread, turn the work to the wrong side, fold in half, sew along the last row.

Cuff: Thread the yarn at the top of the base where the seam was made.
Row 1: crochet 3 chain stitches, yarn over, pull the working yarn through the stitch. Repeat the process with yarn over and pulling the yarn through the stitch four times. Then crochet all the stitches on the hook except for the last one. The last step will be to crochet two stitches together, leaving one stitch on the hook. This creates the first puff stitch. Then chain 1 and crochet the same puff stitch in the same stitch. Skip two stitches (1 row of the base), repeat everything in the next stitch. Continue this for 10 repeats.
Use a 4.0mm hook.
Rows 2-7: first puff stitch, chain 1, crochet the puff stitch in the first arch between the puff stitches, continue this to the end of the row, then crochet a slip stitch.
Row 8: chain 2, crochet 1 half double crochet in each puff stitch and 2 half double crochets in each arch between the puff stitches, crochet a slip stitch.
Rows 9-10: chain 2, crochet 1 half double crochet in each stitch, slip stitch.
At the end of the work, cut the yarn.
