To knit such a nice vest, you will need 250 grams of white half-wool yarn and size 3 needles. Cast on 200 stitches. First, knit 10 stitches — this will be the placket. You can knit it in any way you like: "honeycomb," "bumps," and so on. Then, knit 180 stitches in garter stitch: knit all stitches through the back loop. Knit the remaining 10 stitches again in the placket pattern. Do this for exactly 60 rows. Now let's proceed to knitting the yoke. Below is shown how to make braids "with holes" — on every fifth row, 2 stitches through one, and then adding 2 stitches again according to the pattern. The sleeves should be knitted separately and then sewn or attached to the yoke. Knit the hood separately as well: cast on 100 stitches, knit 30 rows in garter stitch, and finish. Sew the hood to the yoke, insert the pompom yarn — the vest is ready.
