Bright knitted jacket for a girl

Sizes:

62/68, 74/80 and 86/92

You will need:

• 150 g of green yarn Elastico Lana Grossa (96% cotton, 4% polyester; 160 m / 50 g)

• Needles No. 4

• Hook No. 3.5

• 1 button

Types of knitting:

• Garter stitch: knit and purl rows – knit stitches.

• Stockinette stitch: knit rows – knit stitches, purl rows – purl stitches.

• Lace pattern:

  • Row 1: 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 stitch through (1 stitch slip as knit, 1 knit, pull it through the slipped stitch),

  • Row 2: knit the stitches and yarn overs purlwise.

  • Row 3: 1 stitch slip,

  • Row 4: 5 purl stitches.

  • Repeat rows 1 to 4.

• Purl stitch: knit rows – purl stitches, purl rows – knit stitches.

Knitting density:

• 23 stitches and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm (lace pattern)

• 23 stitches and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm (garter stitch)

Back:

1. Cast on 61 (67/71) stitches.

2. Knit 1 cm in garter stitch, starting with a purl row.

3. Next:

   • Selvedge, 3 stitches of lace pattern, 49 (55/59) stitches of stockinette, 3 stitches of lace pattern, selvedge.

   • In every 8th row decrease 2 x 1 stitch. = 57 (63/67) stitches.

4. After 17.5 (19.5/21.5) cm from the beginning, bind off for armholes 1 x 2 stitches from both sides = 53 (59/63) stitches.

5. After 25 (27/29) cm from the beginning — bind off 1 x 1 stitch from both sides.

6. After 26.5 (28.5/30.5) cm, bind off the remaining 51 (57/61) stitches.

Left front piece:

1. Cast on 33 (37/39) stitches, knit 1 cm in garter stitch.

2. Next:

   • Selvedge, 3 stitches of lace pattern, 25 (29/31) stitches of stockinette, 3 stitches of lace pattern, selvedge.

3. In every 8th row decrease 2 x 1 stitch. = 31 (35/37) stitches.

4. After 17.5 (19.5/21.5) cm, bind off 1 x 2 stitches on the left.

5. After 25 (27/29) cm from the beginning, set aside for the neckline 1 x 1 stitch, then in every 4th row 1 x 1 stitch

6. After 26.5 (28.5/30.5) cm, bind off the remaining 13 (17/19) stitches.

Right front piece:

• Knit symmetrically to the left.

• Don't forget to make a buttonhole.

• Right front piece:

  Knit symmetrically to the left front piece.

  ---

  Sleeves:

  1. Cast on 41 (47/51) stitches, knit 1 cm in garter stitch, starting with a purl row.

  2. Next, knit according to the pattern:

   

  Selvedge, 1 purl stitch, *5 stitches of lace pattern, 3 stitches of stockinette*, repeat from * to 4 times, then: 5 stitches of lace pattern, 1 purl stitch, selvedge.

  3. To increase the width:

   

   

  (Selvedge, *5 stitches of lace pattern, 3 stitches of stockinette*, repeat from * 5 times, 5 stitches of lace pattern, 2 stitches of stockinette, selvedge.)

  4. After 7 cm from the beginning, start stockinette stitch,
     evenly decreasing 2 stitches in the first row. = 39 (45/49) stitches.

  5. For sleeve slopes increase on both sides:

  • in every 10th row: 1 x 1 stitch.

  • in every 8th row: 2 x 1 stitch. (in every 10th: 3 x 1 stitch / in every 12th: 3 x 1 stitch)
    = 45 (51/55) stitches.

  6. After 18 (20/22) cm from the beginning — bind off all stitches.

  ---

  Assembly:

  • Make shoulder seams.

  • On the set aside 7 stitches of the front pieces cast on another 41 stitches at the neckline = 55 stitches.,
    knit 1 cm in garter stitch and bind off.

  • Set in the sleeves, make side seams and sleeve seams.

  • To the narrow side of the neckline band on the right front piece
    attach a loop for the button made of 5 chain stitches.

  • Sew on the button.
