Girl's suit — vest and skirt

A festive and comfortable set, completely knitted without seams, predominantly in the round. The finishing is done in Turkish style — with neat picot edges and thoughtful transition lines between the details.

Vest

• It is recommended to start knitting with triangles (armholes).

• Next, knit the front using garter stitch with the pattern «pine tree».

• A smooth transition to the back allows for a symmetrical «pine tree» both in front and back.

• Ribbing 2×2 is done separately, cast on in the Italian way and whipped to the top.

• The entire vest is knitted as a single piece without shoulder seams.

Skirt

• Consists of two parts.

• Yoke is knitted across with short rows (every 6th row is short).

• One edge of the yoke has a braid, the other edge is turned under and elastic is inserted.

• The stitches of the main part are picked up along the braid edge.

• The main part of the skirt is knitted from the bottom up and then joined to the yoke with a whipped seam.

• The entire product is knitted in the round, without seams.

• The bottom of the skirt is decorated with picot — possibly done with a needle, as is customary in Turkish models.

According to the author's observation: it creates the impression that the braid is knitted separately, and then all three parts are joined — the yoke, the braid, and the skirt.
