The simplest and most beloved model of booties. From karinalitvinova.Klubokhttp://klubok.work/23/188/6484/Klubokhttps://klubok.work/css/image/top-logo-en.png
Cast on 35 stitches (or according to your size). Knit in garter stitch (all rows are knit).
Row 1: 1 edge stitch, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 15 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 15 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, 1 edge stitch. (total 39). I won't mention the edge stitches further. Yarn overs on the purl side are worked as a twisted knit to avoid holes. Instead of yarn overs, you can make increases from the stitch - whichever is easier for you.
Row 3: 2 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 3 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 2 knit. (43)
Row 5: 3 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 5 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 3 knit. (47)
Row 7: 4 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 7 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 4 knit. (51)
Row 9: 5 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 9 knit, increase, 15 knit, increase, 5 knit. (55)
If you need smaller or larger booties, adjust the size by knitting more or fewer than 15 stitches (it's not difficult to recalculate the cast on).
Without increases - 8-12 rows of garter stitch.
Knit in incomplete rows
Row 1: 32 knit, 2 together knit with a left slant, turn,
Row 2: 1 slip, 9 knit, 2 together knit, turn
Knit rows 1-2 for 7-9 times until the toe is the desired size. Finish with the second row, and after turning, knit the row to the end.
2 rows of garter stitch,
Knit holes for the ties:
1 knit, yarn over, 2 together knit - to the end of the row.
Then continue in garter stitch to the desired height, considering the fold. I knit 1 row of purl stitches at the fold line. Bind off, leaving a thread for sewing.
Sew the back seam and the sole.
That's it!
Yarn is still the same Children's Caprice, with needles #3.
These are very simple booties (I've knitted about 30 pairs as gifts for my children and others, but unfortunately, I didn't showcase any since I only joined Osinka in September, and all pairs had already been given away, while ours were passed down to my niece). You can change the center, as well as the top and bottom parts of the booties, as you wish (you can create braids, lace patterns, or simple jacquards - feel free to experiment - I've tried everything and always liked the results). I knitted these approximately in this way (if anything is unclear, feel free to ask questions in private messages to avoid cluttering the thread):
Quick booties (you can knit a pair in 2-2.5 hours)
The booties are knitted on two needles.
Cast on 42 stitches. Knit in garter stitch for 18 rows (or as many as you need, you can make a fold as you prefer).
Rows 1-18 – garter stitch
Row 19 – knit
Row 20 – purl
Row 21 – make holes for the lace: 2 knit, 2 together, 1 yarn over – repeat 4 times, 8 knit, yarn over, 2 together, 2 knit – also repeat 4 times.
Row 22 – purl.
Next, set aside 15 stitches on each side (don't cut the thread, it will be needed later) and knit the middle 12 stitches in garter stitch for 18 rows (I don’t set aside, just move the needle to the desired place, take a new ball of yarn, and knit the middle).
Next: return to the start of the row where we set aside our 15 stitches (knit with the yarn we didn’t cut).
Knit 15 stitches in garter stitch, then along the edge of the knitted middle, cast on 11 stitches, 12 stitches, then on the other side, cast on 11 stitches, 15 stitches – knit a total of 14 rows (or as many as you deem necessary).
Rows 15 and 16 are also knitted in garter stitch, but with a different color yarn, don’t cut the thread.
Next, set aside 26 stitches on each side and knit the middle 12 stitches (the width of the sole), picking up one stitch from each of the set aside 26. I take another ball of yarn.
When we have 6 stitches left on each side (and still 12 in the middle), bind off all stitches (with the yarn we used to knit rows 15 and 16).
Sew the back seam and the heel seam perpendicularly. Knit the second one the same way. The booties are ready! Edging as you wish (I just did a crab stitch, but you can also do something lacy with a hook). Hide all tails. Lace up (in this case I used a braid of chain stitches, and then another row of slip stitches), make a pom-pom or tassel.
