From this model, several beautiful booties for boys and girls can be made. Size: 0-3 months. Materials: baby yarn, 3.5 mm needles. Cast on 6 stitches with 4.0 mm needles.
1st row (wrong side): knit stitches. 2nd row (right side): 1 knit, increase 1 stitch, 4 knits, increase 1 stitch, 1 knit = 8 stitches. 3rd row: knit stitches. 4th row: 1 knit, increase 1 stitch, 6 knits, increase 1 stitch, 1 knit = 10 stitches. Rows 5-33: knit all stitches (garter stitch). 34th row: 1 knit, 2 together knitwise right, 4 knits, 2 together knitwise left, 1 knit = 8 stitches. 35th row: knit stitches. 36th row: 1 knit, 2 together knitwise right, 2 knits, 2 together knitwise left, 1 knit = 8 stitches. 37th row: knit stitches. The sole is 9 cm long. Pick up 40 stitches evenly around the sole: 18 stitches from each side of the sole and 4 stitches along the cast-on edge = 46 stitches.
Continue to knit the foot in the round, place a marker at the beginning of the round. 1st row: purl stitches. Next, knit in ribbing 2 knit/2 purl or 1 knit/1 purl (as desired) – 7 cm. Bind off the stitches.
