3 - 4 - 4 - 5 skeins Phildar Castell ( approximately 144 yds / 132 m = 50 g ) - 65% acrylic, 25% wool, 10% alpaca, or any yarn suitable for gauge.

Brim
With circular needles 3.5mm, cast on 74 - 80 - 84 - 92 stitches, using German twisted cast-on, place a marker at the end of the round and join in the round, taking care not to twist the stitches. Knit garter stitch for 6 rounds (round 1 all knit, round 2 all purl).

Body of the hat
• rounds. round 1 (increase round): * knit 1, 1 increase * around = 148 - 160 - 168 - 184 stitches.
• rounds 2 - 10: knit.
• round 11: * k2tog * around = 74 - 80 - 84 - 92 stitches.
• rounds 12, 14, 16 : purl.
• rounds 13, 15 : knit.
• repeat rounds 1 - 16, 1) 2) once more, then rounds 1 - 11
3) 4) another 2 times, then rounds 1 - 11

Crown shaping:
Switch to double-pointed needles or to shorter circular needles for easier knitting.

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail of 8 cm, thread it through the stitches, pull tight and weave in from the wrong side. Weave in the ends, block. Sew on 5 buttons as shown in the photo.


SCARF
On circular needles 3.5 mm, cast on 296 - 320 - 344 - 368 stitches, using yarn from 2 skeins or a long-tail cast-on.
Knit 4 rounds garter stitch, then 6 rounds stockinette. 
Next row (knit side) (row with decreases): 1 knit (edge), * slide 2 stitches to the right needle, 1 knit, pass the slipped stitches over it, repeat from * to the last stitch, 1 knit (edge) = 100 - 108 - 116 - 124 stitches.
Switch to 3 mm needles and knit 5 rounds garter stitch. At the same time, in the 3rd (purl) row make a buttonhole after the 5th stitch from the start of the row. Switch back to circular needles 3.5 mm.

Next row (knit side) (row with increases): edge, * knit 1, 1 increase, repeat from * to last stitch, edge = 198 - 214 - 230 - 246 stitches.
Continue stockinette for 9 rounds.

Next row (RS) (row with decreases): selvedge, * k2tog, repeat from * to last stitch, selvedge = 100 - 108 - 116 - 124 stitches.
Move to 3 mm needles and knit 5 rows garter stitch, at the same time in the 3rd row make a buttonhole after the 5th stitch from the start of the row. Switch back to 3.5 mm needles .

Next row (RS) (increase row): selvedge, * m3in1, repeat from * to last stitch, selvedge = 296 - 320 - 344 - 368 stitches. Continue stockinette stitch for 6 rows. Knit 4 rows garter stitch. Bind off all stitches.

Finishing
Sew on 2 buttons at 13 ¾ - 15 - 16 ½ - 17 ¾" ( 35 - 38 - 42 - 45 cm ) from the edge with buttonholes, placing them on two garter-stitch sections, weave in ends. Block it, enjoy wearing!
