Hat

You will need: 100g of main color yarn, 100g of additional color yarn for size 8 needles.
For a child, cast on 30 stitches, for an adult 40.
Row 1: knit.
Row 2: knit the first two stitches together as purl, purl to the end, knit the last stitch twice.
Row 3: knit.
Row 4: knit the first two stitches together as purl, purl to the end, knit the last stitch twice.
Row 5: knit.
Row 6: as row 4
Color change:
Row 7: purl.
Row 8: knit the first two stitches together as purl, knit to the end, knit the last stitch twice.
Row 9: purl.
Row 10: as row 8
Row 11: purl.
Row 12: as row 8
Repeat these 12 rounds 7 times (for adults 9). Bind off the stitches.
Cast on 86 (108) stitches for the bottom part of the hat (cuff). 1 knit, 1 purl for 20 (30) rows in the main color. Sew the side seam, assemble the hat. Make a pom-pom and sew it on.
