The hat is knitted from three separate pieces, which are then sewn together, and a knitted bow is added at the back.

1st piece:

Cast on the number of stitches equal to the head circumference.
10 rows of stockinette stitch.
30 rows of 1x1 ribbing.
10 rows of stockinette stitch.
Bind off all stitches.

2nd piece:

Cast on 10 stitches and knit in garter stitch. Increase stitches on both sides in every row until there are 30 stitches on the needles. Knit 10 rows without increases. Decrease stitches on both sides in every row until there are 10 stitches left on the needles. Bind off all stitches.

3rd piece — bow:

Cast on 3 stitches and knit in garter stitch, making increases on one side in every row until there are 9 stitches on the needles. Knit 50 rows without increases. Decrease stitches on one side in every row until there are 3 stitches left on the needles. Bind off all stitches.

1st piece — fold the rows knitted in stockinette stitch and loosely sew them. Sew the back seam.
Join the 1st and 2nd pieces.
Shape the 3rd piece into a bow and sew it to the back seam of the hat.

When knitting, use the original guide from the author of the hat:
