Mini master class on baby hat with a knothttp://klubok.work/23/189/7311/Klubok

So, we will knit a hat for a baby 0-3 months with a head circumference of about 40cm.
Yarn - 100% merino Knits Baby merino (yardage: 50g - 125m, price: 300r for 1 skein) 32g was used for 1 hat.

The gauge on 3.5mm needles after washing:
10cm=24.2 stitches, which is 2.42 stitches per cm.
Needles: Chiagoo metal

It is better to calculate your knitting gauge with a sample in advance, and if it matches mine - you can use my number of stitches.

1. Cast on 80 stitches on ONE needle and join in the round. Knit 6 rows in garter stitch - 1 row knit, 1 row purl.

2. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for another 33 rows.

3. Make decreases: divide the fabric into 4 equal parts, marking the first stitch in each part with a marker. Before each marker, slip 1 stitch, knit the second stitch, and place the slipped stitch over the knitted one (knit two together left-leaning). Knit the stitch with the marker. After each marker, knit 2 together (knit two together right-leaning).
After the decrease row, knit 1 row in knit stitches.

4. Repeat alternating decreases every other row: 1 row decreases, 1 row knit, until 16 stitches remain on the needles.

5. Knit these 16 stitches in the round in knit stitches until it reaches about 10cm.

6. Make decreases: *1 knit, 2 together, 1 knit* *repeat to the end of the row. Knit a row in knit stitches. Decreases: *2 together, 1 knit* *repeat to the end of the row. Decreases: *2 together* *repeat to the end of the row.
In the end, 4 stitches will remain, pull them tight and weave in the ends.
