Hat and scarf knitted with needles

The cap and scarf in the photo are knitted from one thread of 100% merino wool Lana Gatto SuperSoft

You will need:
circular needles No. 4, 2.5 skeins of wool for the cap and 6 skeins for the scarf

For the cuffed cap size 54-57, cast on 104 stitches plus 1 stitch to close the circle (for a smaller or larger cap size, the number of stitches must be a multiple of 8)

Knit 1/1 ribbing for 4-6 rows, then knit according to the pattern scheme, where all knit stitches are crossed. I have 4 pattern repeats in height on the cuff.

Then knit 1/1 ribbing to the required height of the cap.

Decreases for the crown:
divide the knitting with markers into 4 equal parts.
On the left and right of the marker, decrease every second row by knitting 2 stitches together with a left and right tilt. When there are about 8 stitches left on the needles, gather the crown.

• For the scarf, cast on 72 (9 repeats + 1 for symmetry of the pattern) + 2 edge stitches. Knit the pattern according to the scheme to the desired height, then knit 1/1 ribbing and finish the scarf with the pattern again.
