Cast on 64 +1 stitches for joining in the round (it's better to cast on stitches on needles one size smaller)
Knit in the round for 4 rounds with a 2x2 rib (knit 2, purl 2). Then move the last 6 stitches (2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl) to a pin/additional needle/ or similar. Start knitting in turning rows.
