The first two rows are worked according to the chart:

Change needles from 2.0 to 2.5 and continue knitting. The yarn-overs made in the 3rd row should be worked as a crossed stitch following the pattern. If a stitch falls into a decrease, also decrease it, crossing carefully.

Having knitted 26(30)34(38)42(46) rounds, which corresponds to 7(8)9(10)11(12) cm of the pattern, join the knitting in the round (this will be the knit row).
Join the knitting in the round by knitting the last and the first stitch together purlwise.
Next, starting from the wrong-side 27(31)35(39)43(47) row, work in the round until our pattern reaches 10(11)12(13)14(15) cm.
Remember that when knitting in the round one row is knit, one row is purl. The yarn-overs are worked as knit stitches.
After knitting the 39(43)43(47)47(51) row, we will begin shaping the crown of our hat.
In the photo, size 0–3 months.

The remaining 12 stitches to be tightened, cut the yarn, weave in the end.
For our bonnet, we still need to knit the ties.
The ties can be knitted by any method convenient for you. I suggest knitting the cord using the i-cord method, then edging the edge of the bonnet and knitting another cord. Thus, we will have ties for the bonnet.
On size 2.5 knitting needles, cast on 4 stitches.
Move our 4 stitches to the right side of the needle (without turning our knitting), so that the working yarn is on the left. By pulling the working yarn to the first stitch on the right, knit all four stitches as knit stitches.
Then again, without turning the knitting, move our 4 stitches to the right end of the needle and again knit them, while knitting the first stitch, pulling the yarn firmly.
Thus, we continue knitting until our cord reaches a length of 25–30 cm.
Having knitted our cord, we should attach it to the bonnet.
For this, we will pick up stitches along the edge of the bonnet one by one.
Picking up a loop from the edge of the bonnet (one row below the edge stitches), we knit 3 cords stitches and the 4th cord stitch we knit together with the first stitch from the bonnet two together knitwise.
Then again pick up a loop from the bonnet and do the same as in the previous row.
Thus, we will continue knitting until we edge the entire edge of the bonnet.
After edging all the stitches, we need to continue knitting a second cord of the same length as the first.
After knitting the second cord, tighten the stitches, secure the thread and hide it inside the cord.
Congratulations! Your bonnet is ready!
Hide all loose ends and send the bonnet for washing and blocking (wet-heat treatment).
(On the page there is a photo of the finished bonnet in a light shade — showing the result after edging and steaming. Side and front views.)
