Fluffy (mohair) trim
Switch to fluffy (mohair) yarn
Row 1 - knit to the end of the row and pick up 8[10,12,14] stitches from the back side of the cuff = 38[44,50,56] stitches.
Row 2 - purl to the end of the row and pick up another 8[10,12,14] stitches from the other side of the cuff = 46[54,62,70] stitches.
Knit 2 rows in garter stitch and bind off.
Right boot
Perform the work as for the left from * to **.
Next row - knit stitches.
Next row – close 20[22,24,26] stitches, 12[14,16,18] purl stitches.
Next row - cast on new 26[28,30,32] stitches at the beginning of the row, 38[42,46,50] stitches.
Knit stockinette stitch for 7[9,11,13] rows.
Next row - 2 knit together, knit to 2 stitches, 2 knit together = 36[40,44,48] stitches.
Next row - 2 purl together, purl to 2 stitches, 2 purl together = 34[38,42,46] stitches.
Repeat these 2 rows again.
Fluffy trim
Switch to fluffy (mohair) yarn
Row 1 - knit to the end, pick up 8[10,12,14] stitches from the back side of the cuff = 38[44,50,56] stitches.
Row 2 - knit to the end, pick up 8[10,12,14] stitches from the other side of the cuff = 46[54,62,70] stitches.
Knit 2 rows in garter stitch and bind off.
Now you need to sew the booties, attach buttons on the outside, make a loop with golden thread.

Size 3 months.

Material:
A cardigan with a round yoke that continues to the depth of the armhole, very easy to make. A delicate leaf pattern is adapted to the hat and as lace for the booties. Patons Beehive Baby Wool Patonised or Patons Carefree Baby Sayelle 4 skeins. Two needles Milward 2.75 mm, two 3 mm and two 3.25 mm. Medium-sized hook, 3 buttons, 4 pieces of ribbon.

Measurements: Cardigan - For chest circumference 18 inches. Length in the middle of the back, 9 1/2 inches. Sleeve seam 5 inches. Hat: face contour, 11 1/2 inches. Depth 6 inches.
Gauge: 8 1/2 stitches and 10 rows = 1 inch of stockinette stitch on 3 mm needles.

Lace pattern:

Row 1:  1 knit, *1 purl, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant (slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit the next stitch and pull the slipped stitch over it). Repeat * until the last 2 stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit.

Row 2:  2 knit, * 2 purl, 1 knit. Repeat * until the last stitch, 1 knit.

Row 3: 1 knit, 1 purl, *2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 purl. Repeat * until the last stitch, 1 knit.

Row 4:  Same as row 2. Repeat these 4 rows for the pattern.

CARDIGAN
Start with the neckline, cast on 70 stitches on 2.75 mm needles.
Knit 5 rows in garter stitch (every row knit).
Row 6: 5 knit, 1 purl, 3 knit, * increase 1 stitch in the next stitch, 4 knit. Repeat * until the last 6 stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit. Bind off 2 stitches for the buttonhole 2 knit.
Switch to 3 mm needles.
Row 7: 2 knit, cast on 2 stitches, 2 knit, *9 purl, 1 knit.
Repeat * until the last 5 stitches, 5 knit. (81 stitches on the needle). 

Proceed to the leaves: 

Row 1: 5 knit, *1 purl, 4 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 4 knit. Repeat from * until the last 6 stitches, 1 purl, 5 knit.
Row 2: 6 knit, *11 purl, 1 knit. Repeat * until the last 5 stitches, 5 knit.
Row 3: 5 knit, *1 purl, 5 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 5 knit. Repeat from * until the last 6 stitches, 1 purl, 5 knit.
Row 4: 6 knit, * 13 purl, 1 knit. Repeat * until the last 5 stitches, 5 knit.

Row 13: 5 knit, 1 purl, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant * 17 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant. Repeat * until the last 25 stitches, 17 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 purl, 5 knit.  

Start forming the bottom with 7 leaves in stockinette stitch, knit garter stitch between the leaves.

Row 14: 7 knit, *19 purl, 3 knit. Repeat * until the last 26 stitches, 19 purl, 7 knit. 
Row 15: 5 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, * yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 15 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 3 knit. Repeat * until the last 26 stitches, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 15 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 knit, 1 purl, 5 knit.
Row 16: 8 knit, *17 purl, 5 knit. Repeat * until the last 25 stitches, 17 purl, 8 knit. 
Row 17: 5 knit, 1 purl, 2 knit, * yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 13 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 5 knit. Repeat * until the last 25 stitches, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 13 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 2 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, decrease 2 stitches, 2 knit.
Row 18: 2 knit, cast on 2 stitches, 5 knit.. *15 purl, 7 knit. Repeat * until the last 24 stitches, 15 purl, 9 knit.
Row 19: 5 knit, 1 purl, 3 knit, * yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 11 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 7 knit. Repeat * until the last 24 stitches, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, 11 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 3 knit, 1 purl, 5 knit.
Row 20: 10 knit, *13 purl, 9 knit. Repeat * until the last 23 stitches, 13 purl, 10 knit.

Row 31: 5 knit, 1 purl, 9 knit, * yarn over, double yarn over (1 stitch slip as if to knit, the next 2 stitches knit together and pull the slipped stitch over it), yarn over, 19 knit. Repeat * until the last 18 stitches, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 9 knit, 1 purl, 5 knit. Row 32: 16 knit, * 1 purl, 21 knit. Repeat * until the last 17 stitches, 1 purl, 16 knit.
Row 33: 5 knit, 1 purl, knit to the last 6 stitches, 1 purl, 5 knit. 
Row 34: knit (165 stitches on the needle). 
Row 35: 5 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, increase 1 stitch in each stitch, to the last 8 stitches, 2 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, bind off 2 stitches, 2 knit. 
Row 36: 2 knit, cast on 2 stitches, knit to the end of the row (315 stitches on the needle).
Switch to 3.25 mm needles and knit 4 full repeats (16 rows) of the lace pattern.
From the front side of the garment, slip the first 51 stitches onto a thread for the left front, slip the next 60 stitches onto a holder for the left sleeve, slip the next 93 stitches for the back onto a thread, slip the next 60 stitches for the right sleeve onto another thread, slip the remaining 51 stitches for the right front onto a thread from the back side and the left front.
For the work of the sleeve: From the front side facing you, join another ball to the 60 stitches on the holder. Using 3.25 mm needles, start with the 1st row of the pattern, continue, evenly knitting the lace pattern for the sleeve about 4 1/2 inches from the division of the stitches for the sleeves, finishing with the 1st or 3rd row of the pattern.
Switch to 2.75 mm needles for the next row: 2 knit, *2 purl together, 1 knit. Repeat from * until the last 4 stitches, 2 purl together, 2 knit together. (40 stitches on the needle).
Knit 9 rows of ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl). Bind off according to the pattern without pulling tight.
Slip the 60 stitches left for the right sleeve onto the needle and knit as the previous sleeve.
For the work of the body: slip onto the needle 195 stitches that remain, with 3.25 mm needles and using the joined ball to the left front, continue, evenly knitting the lace pattern to a height of 5 inches from the division of the stitches for the sleeves. Join the sleeves. From the front side facing you, crochet 1 row of single crochet around the whole cardigan, around the neckline, if necessary. Sew on the buttons.

HAT
Cast on 27 stitches on 3 mm needles. 
Row 1: 1 knit, * 1 purl, 2 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 2 knit. Repeat * until the last 2 stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit.
Row 2: 2 knit, *7 purl,1 knit. Repeat * until the last stitch, 1 knit.
 Row 3: 1 knit, *1 purl, 3 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 3 knit. Repeat * until the last 2 stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit.
Row 4: 2 knit, *9 purl,1 knit. Repeat * until the last stitch, 1 knit.
Continue the leaf pattern from rows 1 to 12 as specified for the cardigan, but with 4 stitches less to knit on both sides of each row. That is, start and end the 1st row and odd rows with 1 knit instead of 5 knit, that is, start the 2nd row and even rows with 2 knit instead of 6 knit and end with 1 knit instead of 5 knit. You will get 4 patterns for the hat, while for the cardigan there are 7 patterns. At the end of the 12th row, you will have 91 stitches on the needle.
Row 13: 1 knit, 1 purl, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant, * 17 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise with a left slant. Repeat * until the last 21 stitches, 17 knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 1 purl, 1 knit.
Row 14: 3 knit, *19 purl, 3 knit. Repeat * until the last 22 stitches, 19 purl, 3 knit. 
These 2 rows are the same as for the cardigan, but with 4 stitches less at each end of the row.

Continue the leaf pattern as for the cardigan, until the end of row 32 (91 stitches on the needle).
Continue in garter stitch (every row knit) to a height of 5 inches from the beginning of the work. 
From the front side of the garment facing you, knit: 
next row: 1 knit,*2 stitches together knitwise, 3 knit. Repeat from * to the end of the row (73 stitches on the needle).
next row: (holes for the ribbon). 4 knit,* yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise, 1 knit. Repeat from * until the last 3 stitches, 3 knit. 
Knit 7 rows in garter stitch. Bind off. Pull the starting stitches and sew the back part to a length of 3 inches from the top. Thread the ribbon through the holes around the face. Make flowers and sew them on the hat, as shown in the photo.

BOOTIES
Cast on 36 stitches on 3 mm needles.
Knit about 3 inches in lace pattern, finishing with the 2nd or 4th row of the pattern.
Shape the foot: 24 knit. Turn, 12 knit. Turn.
Knit on the 12 central stitches, 23 rows in garter stitch (every row knit).
next row: pick up and knit 12 stitches along the top of the foot. Knit the remaining 12 stitches. 
next row: 36 knit. Pick up and knit 12 stitches on the other side of the top of the foot. Knit the remaining 12 stitches. (60 stitches on the needle). Knit 16 rows in garter stitch.
next row: knit, 2 stitches together knitwise, knit to 4 central stitches (2 stitches together knitwise) 2 times, knit to the last 3 stitches, 2 stitches together knitwise, 1 knit.
next row: knit.
Repeat the last 2 rows 2 more times. Sew the back part and the sole. Using double thread, crochet a chain about 12 inches long. Thread it through the last row of holes in the ankle. Make a small bell, as indicated on page 14, and sew it on each end.
