People simply lacked words to express their admiration. They called it both a "Masterpiece of Culinary Art" and "Mind-Blowing", and "The Eighth Wonder of the World"...
The author herself writes the following about it:
This cake was created by the confectioners of our Dnipro café "Fantasy" back in 1990. Its fame was as great as that of the "Kyiv" cake in Kyiv.

This is a cake made of layers of choux pastry filled with cream and fruits, topped with fruit covered in jelly.

Ingredients:
dough:
1 cup of water
150 g margarine
0.5 tsp salt
2 cups of flour
6 eggs.
cream:
1 liter of milk
1 cup of sugar (I used 250 grams)
1 egg
300 g butter
1 packet of vanilla
2 tbsp of cognac
4 tbsp of flour with a heaping spoon + a little milk for mixing (about half a cup)
Any fruits for filling and decoration (I used kiwi, bananas, peaches, and oranges) and jelly for cakes (2 packets)

Preparation:
Boil 1 cup of water with 150 g of margarine and 0.5 tsp of salt, then add 2 cups of flour to it, let it cool slightly and beat in the 6 eggs one by one. On two sheets of parchment paper, draw a contour with a pencil the size of the dish you plan to serve it on. It should be filled with squares of 3x3 cm, one straight and the other diagonal. The amount of dough is calculated for a contour thickness of 3-3.5 mm and a cake size of approximately 35x25 cm. The essence: on the sheet of parchment, you draw the size of the cake, grease it with butter. Place the dough in a pastry bag and squeeze out the contour with a dough thickness of 3 mm (not thicker!), then start filling the middle - make squares of 3x3 cm, no more! Bake in the oven at 180 degrees until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, make the exact same preparation, but with squares done diagonally. You need 4 layers, 2 straight, 2 diagonal.
Prepare the cream by cooking a custard. Boil 1 liter of milk with a cup of sugar, and pour in the whipped mixture of flour, milk, and egg while constantly stirring. Cook until thickened. Once cool, beat in the softened butter with vanilla and cognac.
Assemble the cake:
on the serving plate, place the first layer and fill the gaps between the grids with chopped fruits, spread with cream. Next, continue in order: layer-fruits-cream. The top layer should be smeared with cream without fruits, arrange thinly sliced pieces of any fruits on it and pour jelly for cakes over it. Leave overnight to soak in the refrigerator.
