We present to you a sophisticated French dish that is traditionally served at festive tables. There are quite a few variations of "julep" on the internet, but once you try it in the classic version, you will only want to cook it using this recipe.

Ingredients:

  • hard cheese – 100 g
  • sour cream (or cream) – 100 ml
  • mushrooms – 250 g
  • onion (should be large) – 1 pc
  • wheat flour – 1 tbsp.
  • chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • butter – 50 g
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • Cooking method:

    1. Thoroughly rinse the mushrooms, especially under the cap. Peel the onion. Cut everything into thin strips.
    2. Divide the butter into 2 parts. We will use one to fry the mushrooms until cooked. Important! The heat should not be too high, otherwise, the butter will burn quickly.
    3. Put the second pan on the stove and fry the onion in the remaining butter until golden. Then add the mushrooms and sprinkle in the flour. Mix well.
    4. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Using a whisk, beat the egg with the cream (sour cream) in a bowl.
    5. Prepare the molds. It’s best if they are made of ceramic, but metal ones will work too. Grease the mold with butter, add the mushrooms, pour in the creamy mixture, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
