These pies are of the "easy, simple and delicious" kind.
Really simple and very tasty!
Ingredients:
- 100 g
butter
- 2 cups of flour
- a pinch of salt
- baking soda on the tip of
a knife
- 1 cup of kefir
- 2 eggs
For the filling:
- meat
-
potatoes
- onion
- salt
- pepper
Preparation:
Take 100 g
of butter and rub it into crumbs with two cups of flour, a pinch of salt
and baking soda on the tip of a knife.
Then add 1 cup of kefir or sour
milk and 2 eggs.
Knead the dough, adding flour. The dough should be
softer than for dumplings. Let it sit and "rest".
Make the filling. Take any meat, raw potatoes and onion and cut everything into cubes, like for a vinaigrette. Season with salt, pepper, and mix.
Next, pinch off a piece of dough, roll out a not-thin pancake.
In the middle, place the filling and pinch the edges, like khinkali, but leave a small hole in the
middle.
Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
and send them to the oven preheated to 200°C.
After 20 minutes, peek into
the oven. There is liquid inside the pies. Now put a piece of butter in each pie. And send them back to the oven.
After another 20 minutes, peek into the oven again. The pies have started to brown, and the broth inside has evaporated. Brush each pie with egg, and pour a spoonful of broth inside.
Send them to the oven for another 15 minutes. That's it, the pies are ready.
Place them in a container and cover with a towel or lid.
The pies should soften a little.
Serve with soup or just eat them.
