The pie with the addition of tea turns out incredibly fragrant and very tasty

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • Wheat flour — 2 cups
  • Eggs — 4 pcs
  • Sugar — 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla sugar — 1 packet
  • Ground cinnamon — 1 tsp
  • Baking powder — 1 tsp
  • Baking soda — 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil — 1/2 cup
  • Black tea — 2 tsp
  • Chopped walnuts — 1/2 cup
  • Dried fruits (apricots, prunes, dates, raisins) — 400 g

For the glaze

  • Dark chocolate — 1 bar
  • Butter — 1 tbsp
  • Milk — 3 tbsp

How to make the tea pie:

Wash and dry the dried fruits and chop them finely.

Pour two teaspoons of tea with two cups of boiling water and steep for 5 minutes, strain and pour over the chopped dried fruits, mix and let cool, then place in the refrigerator overnight.

Separate the yolks from the whites. Mix the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar, then beat until fluffy.

Sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and baking soda separately through a sieve.

Continuing to beat the yolk mixture, gradually add the flour mixture, and then pour in the oil in a thin stream.

Take the dried fruits out of the refrigerator and drain the tea into a separate container. Add the chopped walnuts to the dried fruits. Mix and add the dried fruit mixture along with the tea to the dough and mix well with a spoon.

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt into a stiff foam and add to the dough, carefully mixing with a spoon or spatula.

Grease the baking pan with oil and lightly dust with flour or line with parchment paper. Pour the dough into the pan and bake at 170°C for about 60 minutes, until a dry stick comes out.

When the pie is ready and cooled, remove it from the mold.

Melt the bar of dark chocolate in a water bath and add a tablespoon of butter and three tablespoons of milk, mixing well.

Cover the cooled pie with chocolate glaze and decorate with large pieces of walnut.

Enjoy your meal!
