Skirt sizes: hip circumference: 29 (31.5, 35.25, 39, 41.73)". The photo shows size 29" with negative ease (that is, a reduction)
Materials:
Valley Yarns Sheffield yarn (70% merino wool, 15% silk, 15% angora; 120 yards [110 m] x 50 g.) gray color #30-5 (5, 6, 6.7) skeins.
Circular needles 5 mm.
Circular needles 8 mm.
Stitch markers (S)
Auxiliary circular needle (AC) smaller than the working needle
Tapestry needle
Waste yarn.

Notes:
This skirt is worked from top to bottom without shaping, the elastic stitch pattern creates a fitted silhouette. Choose a size 1-4 smaller than your actual hip measurement,
The skirt is worked inside out.

Puff: fold the work towards you so that the opposite side (the wrong side) is visible. Insert the left needle down through 3 stitches, knit these 3 stitches together purlwise with the next stitch on the left needle.

Honeycomb.
(number of stitches multiple of 6)
1st, 2nd, and 3rd round: *slip 3 stitches as if to purl, yarn at the back (wyib), 3 knit; repeat from * to end.

4th and 5th round: knit to the end.

7th, 8th, and 9th round: *3 knit, slip 3 stitches as if to purl; repeat from * to end.

10th and 11th round: knit; 12th round: *4 knit, puff, 1 knit repeat from * to end.
Repeat 1-12 rounds.

WORK DESCRIPTION.

WAISTBAND.
With smaller needles, using a provisional cast on, cast on 69 (75, 84, 93, 99) stitches. Do not join in the round, [1 round knit, 1 round purl] twice. Remove the provisional cast on yarn
and place the 69 (75, 84, 93, 99) stitches on the AC. Keep the needles parallel to each other, AC behind, wrong side of the waistband facing in. Next round: *1 knit from the front needle, 1 purl from the back needle; repeat from * to end - 138 (150, 168, 186, 198) stitches. Place a marker and join the work in the round. Continue with ribbing 1 knit, 1 purl until the piece measures 4.5 cm from the start.

MAIN BODY.
Knit 1 time rounds 1-12 of the honeycomb pattern. Switch to larger needles. Continue the pattern until the piece measures 17.5" from the start. Bind off all stitches loosely.

FINISHING.
Weave in all yarn ends. Turn the skirt inside out.

Steam block according to measurements.
