EMPTY CELL  - purl (in knit rows purl, in purl rows - knit)

knit (in knit rows - knit, in purl rows purl)

Cross 4 stitches to the left (slip the 2nd stitches to a holding needle and leave in front of the work,  knit 2 stitches, then knit the 2nd stitches from the holding needle)

Cross 4 stitches  to the right (slip the 2 stitches to a holding needle and leave behind the work, knit 2 stitches, then knit the 2 stitches from the holding needle)
