Connect the front and back at the chest area. To do this, position the pieces with the live stitches (those remaining on the needles) at the bottom. From the upper right corner of the front, count 40 stitches to the left (35st center + 5st for overlap) and place a marker. Connect the upper right corner of the back to the marker and perform a knit seam towards the shoulder (left to right) until the end of the front stitches.

From the upper left corner of the front, count 40 stitches to the right (35st center + 5st for overlap) and place a marker. Connect the upper left corner of the back to the marker and perform a knit seam towards the shoulders (right to left) until the end of the front stitches.

Bind off the front and back stitches. Note: the live stitches were left for length adjustment (you can also join the pieces in the round and create an elongated back) ? Perform the side seams. To do this, count up 54 rows from the bottom on the back and 54 rows on the front, place markers – this is the armhole. Connect the front and back with a knit seam from the marker to the bottom of the pieces. Repeat the same on the other side. The vest is ready! Be sure to wash and lay flat to dry
