I knitted this skirt for my daughter for the age of 4-5 years. It is knitted quite quickly and easily.
I knitted the lower ruffle with yarn (135 m/50 g, 20% wool/ 80% acrylic), using 2 skeins of 50 grams. Then I knitted with Visantia yarn (100 g / 100% acrylic), using less than one skein.
Front piece: I cast on 136 stitches for the lower ruffle, then knitted 20 rows of stockinette stitch. In the last row, I knitted all stitches 2 together, resulting in 78 stitches. Then I knitted 16 more rows of stockinette stitch. I set the stitches aside. Then I knitted the second ruffle in the same way, immediately after decreasing the stitches, I joined it with the first one. To do this, place the stitches of the first ruffle under the stitches of the second ruffle and knit 1 stitch from each needle together. You can also make a third ruffle, but I made the skirt shorter, so two were enough for me. When the ruffles are finished, I knitted 40 more rows of stockinette stitch, after which I made a lacy row for the hem: knit *2 stitches together, yarn over*, repeat *-*. Knit 6 more rows of stockinette stitch and bind off all stitches.
Back piece: knit similarly.
Assembly: sew the side seams. Fold the upper edge of the skirt along the lacy row to the inside and hem it, inserting an elastic band.
