Right along the edge of the sole. Then you knit with needles. Divide the work into 2 parts and knit the toe (ribbing 1 purl - 5 knit, decrease 2 stitches at the edges every 4 rows and also where the purl - 3 stitches together) Heel (with knit stitches). Strap for the hook closure. At the end, sew both parts approximately 1.5-2cm from the sole.
Sole knitting pattern. Knit 2 soles. Create a
chain of 15 ch, then 1 ch (= 1 sc), 13 sc, 2 sc in the last
ch. Knit 15 sc on the other side of the starting chain, then 1 sc in
the last stitch. 1st row is completed. 2nd row: 2 sc in the ch of the previous row, 13
sc, 2 sc in each of the last 2 stitches. 3rd row: 2 sc in the 1st
stitch, 8 sc, 3 half double crochets, 3 double crochets, 2 sc in each of
the next 6 st, 3 double crochets, 3 half double crochets, 8 sc, 2 sc in each of
the last 3 stitches. 4th row: 2 sc in the first stitch, 9 sc,
3 half double crochets, 6 double crochets, 2 sc in each of the next 6
stitches, 6 half double crochets, 3 half double crochets, 9 sc, 2 sc in each of
the last 5 stitches. 5th row: 2 sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in each stitch
of the previous row, 1 sc in the first stitch of the row, 1 slip stitch in the next
stitch. Knit 2 ch, cut the thread and pull it through the loop for securing.
For some models of booties, the soles need to be stiff. For this, you need to
cut a piece of viseline (fusible interfacing) 10 x 6 cm and iron it to the back of the
knitted sole. Carefully trim the excess viseline around the sole. It is recommended
to stitch (or sew by hand) all layers of the sole so that they do not separate during washing.
You can connect the first sole to the second with 1 row of slip stitches, inserting the hook
into the back bump of each stitch of the last row of the sole. Sew the upper part to the sole,
inserting the needle under the front bump of the stitches of the last row. Then, in the same way,
sew the back part. Bind the edges of the upper and back parts with white Senso thread: 1 sc, * 3
ch, skip 1 st, 1 sc * Repeat from * to * to the end of
the row.
