These booties are among the simplest and at the same time they look cute and neat. The straightforward process of making them follows. Knitting with simple acrylic children's yarn on size 2 needles, the result was booties for a foot about 8 cm. For the sole, you need to cast on 9 stitches and knit in garter stitch (all stitches knit) for four rows. In the fifth row, you need to add one stitch at the beginning and end of the row (resulting in 11 stitches) and continue knitting in garter stitch. In the thirtieth row, decrease two stitches and then knit four more rows. The sole is ready.
Now you need to cast on stitches on three more sides: 17 stitches on the sides and 9 on the other narrow side. It goes like this: Knit in the round on five needles for 9 rows. Alternating - knit rows with purl rows (starting with a knit row, ending with a purl row).
To form the toe, you need to knit 9 stitches on one of the narrow sides, while knitting the last stitch together with the first stitch of the neighboring side needle. Turn the knitting, knit those same 9 stitches again, capturing the nearest stitch from the neighboring side needle together with the ninth stitch. Repeat until there are 9 stitches left on all needles.
Next, continue knitting in the round on five needles. One row of knit stitches, then 14 rows of ribbing 1x1. In the next row, you need to make holes: knit two stitches together, make a yarn over and repeat until the end of the row. Then knit another 10 rows in ribbing.
Close the stitches and repeat everything from the beginning once more.
The booties are ready.
