I suggest knitting booties for babies, newborns, which are very simple to make — even a beginner knitter can handle it.
For knitting, we will need children's yarn 30 g, I knitted from the yarn of LLC "Pehorskoye Textil" Russia (PEHORKA) — "Children's novelty", 100% acrylic, needles No. 3, hook No. 2, sewing needle, and scissors.
Execution time — 3 hours, most of the time is spent on the crocheting.
So, first we knit the sole of the bootie:
for this, we cast on 29 stitches on needles No. 3 (hereinafter in the text p.)
Rows 1 and 2 are knitted with knit stitches.
Row 3:
1p.k., 1p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 1p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 1p.k., 1p.k.
Row and all even rows are knitted with knit stitches.
Row 5:
1p.k., 2p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 3p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 2p.k., 1p.k.
Row:
1p.k., 3p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 5p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 3p.k., 1p.k.
Row 9:
1p.k., 4p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 7p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 4p.k., 1p.k.
Row 11:
1p.k., 5p.k.. 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 9p.k., 1n., 12p.k., 1n., 5p.k., 1p.k.
A total of 49 stitches were made on the needle.
The sole of the bootie is ready. Next, we knit the "toe" of the bootie.
Row 13:
15p.k., 3p.p., 1p.k., 3p.p., 1p.k., 3p.p., 1p.k., 3p.p., 1p.k., 3p.p., 15p.k.,
Row 14:
15p.k., 3p.k., 1p.p., 3p.k., 1p.p., 3p.k., 1p.p., 3p.k., 1p.p., 3p.k., 15p.k.,
Rows 15 and 16 are knitted as rows 13 and 14 (repeat).
Row 17:
15p.k., 2p. together p., 1p.p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.p., 15p.k.,
Row 18:
15p.k., 2p.k., 1p.p., 2p.k., 1p.p., 2p.k., 1p.p., 2p.k., 1p.p., 2p.k., 15p.k.,
Rows 19 and 20 are knitted as rows 17 and 18 (repeat).
Row 21:
15p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 1p.k., 2p.together p., 15p.k.,
Row 22:
15p.k., 1p.k., 1p.p., 1p.k., 1p.p., 1p.k., 1p.p., 1p.k., 1p.p., 1p.k., 15p.k.
There are 39 stitches on the needle — we have knitted the "toe" of the bootie.
Row 23:
1p.k. 1n., 2p. together k. and so on until the end of the row, the last 1p.k.
Row 24: all stitches are knitted with knit stitches.
Thus, we have knitted holes for the hollow cord, which will be threaded through them, tied into a bow, and hold the bootie on the baby's foot (both decoration and fixation).
Next, I knitted a simple ribbing for the cuff of the bootie with a fold (ribbing: 2p.k., 2p.p.).
But here you can knit differently; every craftswoman has her own imagination, right?
I crocheted the cuff in the technique of simple edge finishing, and I also crocheted the sole to highlight it.
But this can also be omitted. The basis of the bootie knitting is there, and the rest can be experimented with.
Wishing you even stitches.
