Cap with "Corn" pattern.

It is knitted quickly and easily. I will knit more. The size of the doll's head corresponds to the average size of a newborn's head. Needles 3.0 Yarn from Pexora "Elegant" 100% merino wool. 100 grams - 250 meters. The calculation is based on the size of a newborn's head. Cast on 52 stitches (tail when casting on 85 cm) with white yarn and knit 1 row with white yarn in knit stitches. Then knit 2 rows in pink, 2 rows in white, 2 rows in pink, 2 rows in white, and 1 row in pink. Next, knit with the "corn" pattern . Knit 8 strips of these "hedgehogs" or "knots". After the eighth row of hedgehogs appears on the front side of the cap, knit one more row on the wrong side as the stitches face (knit stitch as knit, purl stitch as purl) and proceed to knit the back of the head. It can be knitted in any pattern: stockinette stitch, seed stitch (or as it is also called "tangle"), I thought that "tangle" with alternating stitches not in every row, but every other row would fit best. I don't know what this pattern is called. Cut the yarn, transfer 19 stitches to the right needle, join a new yarn, knit 13 stitches as they face, and knit the 14th and 15th together purlwise. Turn the work, knit the knit stitch as purl, the purl stitch as knit, knit the 14th and the first unknitted together knitwise, turn the work. To avoid a square back of the head, make yarn overs at the beginning and end of the next row. Continue knitting according to the chosen pattern. When there are about 5 stitches left on the sides, you can decrease by 1 stitch at the beginning and end of one or two rows while knitting the back part. I didn't do this while knitting the pink cap. So, the back part is knitted. We look at the front of the work and see that there is one side stitch left on the right, all back stitches have been knitted, the last side stitch on the right has been knitted together with the back purl stitch and the working yarn is "sticking out" of it. With a free needle, pick up (or cast on, I don't know the correct term) the edge stitches, starting from the cast-on white row. Pick up 17 stitches and knit them knitwise. Turn the work and go back with knit stitches. Knit the remaining back and side stitch knitwise. Pick up 17 stitches from the edges with a free needle and knit them knitwise. Knit the next row with white yarn in knit stitches. At the end of the row, cast on about 16-17 stitches with this white yarn in any way. In the next row, knit with knit stitches, at the end cast on 3 more chain stitches. In the next row, knit the first stitch with a knit stitch using blue yarn and the entire row also with knit stitches in pink yarn. In the next row, make holes for the buttons: yarn over and two together. Then knit two rows with white yarn in knit stitches and bind off all stitches.
