Knitting Instructions

Yarn: Lana Gatto Super Soft
Needles: No. 3 and No. 4
Head circumference: 46–48 cm
Gauge: 10 cm = 20 stitches (1×1 rib)

1. Cast-on and ribbing:
   On needle size 3, cast on 60 stitches.
   Knit in 1×1 rib (1 knit, 1 purl) to a height of about 2.5–3 cm.

2. Main fabric:
   Switch to needles No. 4 and continue garter stitch (all stitches knit in both right- and wrong-side rows) to a height of 16 cm.

3. Crown shaping:
   Divide the knitting into 3 sections — 21 / 18 / 21 stitches, marked with markers.

   • Knit 38 stitches.

   • Slip the next stitch, then knit the stitch after the marker and pass the slipped stitch over it.

   • Turn the work.

   • Slip the first stitch, then knit 16 stitches.

   • Purl the last stitch before the marker and the first after it together.

   • Turn the work again and repeat the described steps.

4. Decreases:
   On every 5th row perform decreases on both sides — knit two together knit two together, until there are 10 stitches in the center.

5. Finishing:
   When the side stitches are finished, bind off the center stitches.

6. Final:
   Make the ties in any convenient way.
