For edging (1 skein): mink (in 3 strands), Air Infinity, boucle.
Main part (2–3 skeins): merino 50 g 90m, mink (in 3 strands), Air Infinity
Circular needles No. 4.5 with cable 40 and 80 cm. Markers (9 pcs.)
Knitting density:
18 sts. x 25 rows = 10cm x 10cm, with needles No. 4.5 in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Sizes:
Bust 42-44cm/44-46/46-52/52-54/54-56/56–58
On needles No. 4.5 cast on any way (number of stitches multiple of 4):
68/72/76/80/84/88 stitches
When closing in the round, ensure that the stitches on the cable do not twist. Place a marker at the beginning of the round.
Knit in the round in garter stitch (1 row knit, 2nd row purl, alternating 1 and 2):
4/5/5.5/6/6.5/7cm
The edging can be made more voluminous by knitting double the height and folding it.
Switch to the main yarn, knit in stockinette stitch in the round (all rows knit):
5/6/7/8/9/10cm
Proceed to decreases:
Consider the size with a bust of 42-44cm. 68 stitches on the needles minus 4 stitches (these are the central stitches, before and after which we will make decreases, they can be marked with markers on both sides) equals 64 stitches. 64 stitches divided by 4. Each wedge consists of 16 stitches.
That is, on the needles: Marker at the beginning of the round, 8 knit sts., M, 1 knit st., M, 16 knit sts., M, 1 knit st., M, 16 knit sts., M, 1 knit st., M, 16 knit sts., M, 1 knit st., M, 8 knit sts.
Decrease to the marker – 2 sts. together with a left slant;
After the marker – 2 sts. together with a right slant.
For a less elongated crown, repeat decreases every 5 rows (4 rows of stockinette stitch in the round, 5th row with decreases).
For a more elongated crown, repeat decreases every 7 rows (6 rows of stockinette stitch in the round, 7th row with decreases).
For convenience, switch to needles of the same size with a long cable (80cm) and continue knitting the crown using the Magic Loop method (pulling the cable around).
Continue to make decreases until there are 8-12 stitches left on the needles.
Cut the yarn, leave a 15cm tail, thread it into a needle, and pass it through all remaining stitches (this can also be done with a hook).
Gather the crown,
hide the tail on the inside of the hat.
Blocking is essential!
Decorate with a pom-pom.
