In this biscuit, apples are added not as a filling, but as
an integral part of the dough. It results in a very aromatic and tasty cake. Completely
homemade, without any frills!
Dough.
1 cup (200g) sugar
2 eggs
3 medium apples (300-350 grams)
30 grams of lard
250-300 grams of flour
1 packet (15 g) of baking powder
grated zest of one lemon
Cream
200 g sour cream
0.75 cup sugar
juice of one lemon
1 teaspoon gelatin
Peel the apples and grate them on a large grater.
Beat the eggs with a mixer until foamy.

Add sugar to the eggs and beat again.
Add flour, baking powder, grated zest, and lard. Mix the dough.
Lastly, add the grated apples and mix the dough again. It turns out quite thick.

Place it in a form (greased with oil and lightly floured) and bake at 200°C for 30-40 minutes. Check for readiness with a wooden stick.

Once the biscuit has cooled, cut it into two parts.

And spread it with the simplest sour cream frosting:
Mix 1 teaspoon of gelatin with 3 tablespoons of water. When the gelatin swells, heat it for 0.5 minutes in the microwave.
Mix 200 grams of sour cream (20% fat); 0.75 cup of sugar and the juice of one lemon until the sugar dissolves. Add the dissolved gelatin and mix again.
Immediately, while the frosting is still very liquid, spread it on both layers - let them soak. Leave some frosting for the top of the cake.

When the frosting has thickened slightly, spread it over the surface of the cake.
Decorate to your liking, for example, put pieces of canned pineapple on the frosting, it’s very tasty!

Enjoy your meal!
