Sverdlovsk "Turbinki" with raspberry jam. Delicious!
Ingredients:
Margarine (butter) — 200 g
Egg — 2 pcs
Milk — 2 tbsp
Sugar — 150 g
Salt (a pinch)
Baking powder — 1 packet / 15 g
Jam (any, for filling or jelly) I have raspberry
Flour (approximately) — 480 g
Preparation:
Beat softened margarine with eggs and milk.
Then add sugar, salt, and baking powder, mix well.
After that, add enough flour so that the dough is similar to that for dumplings, but it shouldn't be too stiff.
It should be soft enough. Usually, I use 3 full cups, i.e., 480 g. But, since flour varies everywhere, you may need a little more or less. Put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough into a thin layer, spread thick jam or jelly, you can add starch to the jam if desired. Roll the layer into a roll.
Cut the roll into pieces of the desired length. I like to make small ones, for 2-3 bites)
Dip the edges of the "turbinki" in starch or flour, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at medium temperature until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Adjust according to your oven..Let the finished cookies cool.
If desired, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar or cover with white icing. Enjoy cooking!
