Tender beautiful pastries in
the shape of a rosebud.
Ingredients: 250 g of puff pastry (thawed in advance) 2 apples (preferably red) 3
tablespoons of sugar powdered sugar for dusting
A very popular recipe
for apple pastries. They have an unusual shape, and in taste - tender baked slices
of apples and crispy dough. Wrapping and preparing them is much easier than it
seems at first glance. The pastries themselves are almost not sweet; if
you want a sweeter version, you need to sprinkle them well with powdered
sugar. It makes about 12 pieces.
Preparation:
Cut the apples
into quarters, removing the inedible parts. Slice them thinly into
2 mm thick slices.
In a saucepan, pour 200 ml of water, bring to
a boil. Add sugar.
Put the apple slices into the boiling water.
Boil for no more than 2-3 minutes, then drain the water (the apples should
become flexible).
Roll out the thawed dough thinly (1-2 mm thick). Cut into strips 3 cm wide and 25-30 cm long.
On a strip of dough, place
5 slices of apple, slightly overlapping. The slices should extend one third
over the top edge of the dough.
Carefully roll the strip into a tube.
Fold the lower edges of the dough inward.
Arrange the prepared
rose-shaped pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. Bake for about 30 minutes.
Allow the
finished pastries to cool completely. Sift powdered sugar over the pastries using
a sieve.
