Relief pattern knitted Boucle

An impressive and beautiful textured pattern that can be used to create a variety of items: scarves, hats, sweaters, cardigans, blankets.

The main pattern is formed by “puffs” on the back side of the product, while the front side is knitted in stockinette stitch.

For knitting the sample, Alize Cotton Gold yarn was used, and the needles are #2.75.

To knit the pattern, cast on an even number of stitches.

Description of the boucle pattern with needles:

• Row 1: edge stitch, all stitches knit, edge stitch;
• Row 2: edge stitch, *1 purl stitch, 1 “puff”*, edge stitch;
• Row 3: edge stitch, all stitches knit, edge stitch;
• Row 4: edge stitch, *1 “puff”, 1 purl stitch*, edge stitch.

To knit a “puff,” knit 5 stitches from 1 stitch (knit, yarn over, knit, yarn over, knit), transfer the five stitches to the left needle and purl them.

Then repeat the pattern from rows 1 to 4.
