BERET:
Knit in the round from the bottom up. Cast on 106 sts on circular needles 3 mm using Merino yarn. Knit the first row in knit stitches, continue with ribbing = 1 knit/1 purl - 8 rows. Then knit 1 row in knit stitches, increasing evenly 14 sts at the same time = 120 sts. Switch to circular needles 4 mm and continue knitting according to chart A-1 (= 6 repeats of the pattern in the row). REMEMBER ABOUT GAUGE! After completing chart A-1, there should be 36 sts left on the needles. Knit the next row as follows: knit 2 together, cut the yarn, pull it through the remaining sts, tighten and secure. The height of the beret is approximately 22 cm.
