BERET AND SCARF WITH BRAIDS

Beret size:

 52 cm.

Scarf size: 15 cm x 180 cm.

You will need:

280 g of Alpina yarn «STELLA» (50% alpaca, 45% wool, 5% metallized polyamide; 250 m/100 g) in white; needles No. 2.5 and No. 3; auxiliary needle.

Ribbing: alternating 1 knit st., 1 purl st.

Pattern «braid» 1: 

knit according to chart 1, which shows only the right-side rows.

In the purl rows, knit the stitches according to the pattern. 

Start with the edge and stitches before the repeat, repeat the pattern, end with the stitches after the repeat and 1 edge.

Pattern «braid» 2: 

knit according to chart 2, which shows only the right-side rows.

In the purl rows, knit the stitches according to the pattern.

Repeat from 1st to 8th row.

Relief pattern: 

knit according to chart 3. Repeat from 3rd to 36th row in height.

Knitting density:

braid pattern: 22 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

BERET

On needles No. 2.5 cast on 116 sts and knit 6 rows of ribbing. 

Switch to needles No. 3 and continue knitting 56 rows of pattern «braid» 1. 

Make increases and decreases according to the chart  = 13 sts. 

In the 57th row, pull the stitches together with the working yarn.

Make a seam.

SCARF

On needles No. 3 cast on 44 sts and knit 426 rows as follows: 1 purl st., 4 sts of pattern «braid» 2, 34 sts of relief pattern, 4 sts of pattern «braid» 2, 1 purl st. 

In the 427th row, close all stitches.
