EMPTY CELL - front (front in front rows, purl in purl rows)

Cross 4 stitches to the left (slip 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle and leave in front of work, knit 2 stitches, then knit 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle)

Cross 4 stitches to the right (slip 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle and leave behind the work, knit 2 stitches, then knit 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle)
