Hat with Spider Knittinghttp://klubok.work/1/1/7414/Klubok

Short description.
Materials used:
Extra Merino Schachenmayr yarn, 100% wool, color Jeans, 130m/50g
Needles No. 3 for ribbing, No. 3.5 for main pattern.
Size circumference 53-55 cm, height 22.5 cm.

Stitches cast on using Italian cast on with 2.5 mm needles. For a circumference of 54 cm, I cast on 128 stitches. After knitting 2 rows of tubular ribbing, I switched to No. 3 needles and knitted ribbing 1x1 for 3 cm, then knitted 1 row of knit stitches.
Next, referring to the chart, I knitted 4 rows of stockinette and spider. The spider legs are knitted as crossed knit stitches in each row.

The chart is taken from the internet but has been modified as I made a few changes.
There is also a chart on the internet with different stitch notations (conditional notations on the chart):

The spider, as in the previous chart, starts from the 13th row.
In the penultimate row of the chart, I started the decreases. The diagram schematically shows the lines of stitch decreases and their placement on the hat. The decreases consist of 4 wedges, decreasing by 8 stitches every other row: 2 together purl, 1 knit, 2 together purl. At the beginning of the decreases, there are 31 purl stitches between the wedges.

After knitting 7-8 rows with decreases, I made new wedges from 1 knit stitch and started decreasing before and after the knit stitch. The knit stitches from the previous wedges are knitted to the end as knit stitches.
