Ingredients

  • 200 grams of granulated sugar;
  • two fresh chicken eggs;
  • 320 grams of wheat flour;
  • one tablespoon of sour cream (any fat content);
  • 200 grams of condensed milk (half a can);
  • 100-200 grams of prunes;
  • one teaspoon of baking soda (quenched with lemon juice or vinegar).

For the cream

  • 700 grams of thick sour cream (with a fat content of 20% or more);
  • 100 grams of granulated sugar.

For the topping

  • 100 grams of walnuts.

A simple and incredibly delicious cake in 25 minutes: step-by-step cooking process

 

 

 

  1. First, let's make the dough: crack the fresh chicken eggs into a bowl and add the granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Then add the sour cream (it’s better to choose a fattier one as it is less sour) and condensed milk.
  3. Mix everything again with a whisk, add the baking soda quenched with vinegar, and pour in all the sifted wheat flour.
  4. Mix the dough with a whisk.
  5. Thoroughly rinse the prunes, dry them with paper towels, and chop finely.
  6. Transfer them to a plate, add a small amount of wheat flour, and stir with a spoon.
  7. Transfer the prunes to the bowl with the dough and mix everything well.
  8. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper (or baking paper) and grease it with butter.
  9. Pour the dough onto the baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  10. Place the baking sheet with the cake in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  11. Check readiness with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
  12. Remove the cake with the paper from the baking sheet and let it cool for a bit: 5-7 minutes will be enough.
  13. Then remove the paper, cut a circle in the middle of the cake with a diameter of about 20 centimeters. You can use a plate or a lid of suitable size as a template.
  14. Cut the remaining pieces of dough into squares with a side of about two centimeters.
  15. Peel the walnuts, roast them in a dry frying pan for 10 minutes, and let them cool.
  16. Chop the roasted walnuts into small pieces with a knife.
  17. Prepare the cream. In a suitable bowl, add the thick sour cream with a high fat content.
  18. Add the granulated sugar and whisk everything until smooth.
  19. Assemble the cake. Place the round cake layer on a serving plate, make cuts on it with a knife so it can soak better.
  20. Spread it with the sour cream. You will need to set aside some cream for spreading on top of the cake.
  21. Transfer the chopped biscuit into a bowl and pour the remaining cream over it. Mix everything with a spoon.
  22. Layer the biscuit pieces on the cake layer, forming a mound. Sprinkle each layer with chopped walnuts.
  23. Spread the cream on top of the entire cake, sprinkle with grated chocolate and walnuts.
  24. Let the cake sit for about two hours to soak – and it can be served with a cup of aromatic tea.
